Was really just gonna call you a lucky bitch.
Lucky for sure Pluto.
Just came back from the dealer.
Scheduled build date is 10 Sep, so a couple days over a month from order to build.
That is faster than I ever imagined.

Then again, I bought a mall runner Sahara optioned similar to what dealers like to order.

You might want to contact your dealer for that.

Was your build showing on the Pizza Tracker yet?
I did, it’s my brother. He’s a new salesman so I unfortunately take everything he says with a grain of salt ? my tracker just shows order confirmed, no VIN or anything, but he sent me my vin a week ago! So my tracker seems to not be updating..

Most trackers don't seem to update to show the VIN until you enter C or D status from what I've seen around here....

His computer is showing me in C status, but last week it was showing me in D status. Nothing makes sense lol

*sigh* my dealer is out of the office "attending a wedding" (or so he says) ???. I've been pretty good about not bothering him every day to check my VIN, it's been a whole week since I last asked! Where's my treat? I want to know if my VIN came in or not....

(again, ?? here, so pizza tracker or any of the other options are not an option for me....)

Yep. I've had my VIN for almost 3 weeks now (from my dealer) but there's no movement on any of the trackers yet. I'm assuming it's the glut of people who ordered in June and early July who need to work through the system before I see a Schedule and a Build Date.

Your VIN won't show on the tracker until you're scheduled, D1 status. That's how it was for mine last week when I got scheduled

Well, I leased my first Jeep (2020 Willys, Punk’n) and that lease is coming up in November. I debated buying it and keeping it since I got in the lease right before the covid crisis. Because of that it’s worth more now than my negotiated purchase price, so I decided I’ll buy it and sell it, and upgrade to a Rubicon with all the things I regretted not buying the first time around. The 4.88 is a good bonus, having the regear built-in with factory warranty is great, and I’d have to spend an extra ~$20k on the Willys to bring it up to Rubicon spec and after all that not have warranty.

So, long story short - submitted my order to my dealer for a 2023 JLUR on 6/11.

Specs:
JLUR
3.6/manual
4.88
Hydro Blue
Satin Black Grill
Painted Fenders
Brown leather
Cold weather
Hard top
And they did force me to pay for the wheels which were standard in 2022, also interestingly, they required me to buy the tow package. Which is fine, I’d gone back and forth on buying it and it made that decision easy.
20k to get to rubi level? You'd need to regear rear axle since its already got a 44 on the willys and add a locker. Then just get a new 44 upfront geared with a locker how you want. IDK how that would be 20k. But of course I'm talking more important stuff and I'm assuming you're talking about upgrading everything even tho not necessary for proper wheel'n.

The way I see it:
Jeep Wrangler JL 2023 Orders - Check in here 1661198670423

Labor not included.

The D44 on the Willys is 1.5" narrower than the rubicon, so I'd want to swap them both out and lose the LSD anyways. Don't "need" the leather, subwoofer, bigger radio, but add that together with the new warranty for a truck that's only gonna be $15k more than what I can sell the Willys for with all the extras? Why not.

Yup, my dealer have me the VIN on 8/4, 3 days after I ordered, and I'm status D, but until it goes D1, I don't think I'm going to see any movement, or the VIN, on the tracker.

Oh yeah totally. I just didn't know what upgrades were important to you since you can get a willys beefed up for more serious wheel'n without doing all of those upgrades. You don't need wider axles for that, or the t case as one example.

This is why I went from a JT Rubicon to a JLU Willys. I don't need everything the Rubicon comes with, and most of the things I could use eventually, have better aftermarket options anyways. I'll build it up myself as needed, rather than trying to get everything up front while losing the choice of what is added.

That's true! And honestly, the jury IS still out on that. I really don't need all the fancy shit for the rig but it would be nice. It really ultimately comes down to - can I still sell the Willys for that much when the new truck shows up? And, how screwed are interest rates going to be? Hah.
