For those who received the Jeep Wave email already, did you purchase the vehicle in full when you placed the order? My salesman is telling me I'll get the email when I buy the Jeep. ?? doesn't sound right so thought I'd ask you all. (I made a $1k deposit only)

No, I haven’t given any money to anybody. I’m also under no obligation to purchase when it shows up if rates change or I just need to back out. But I guess that’s a per-dealer thing.

From what I've read, that approach cab work both ways. The shady salesman is under no obligation to not sell that vehicle to someone else at a higher price right from under you.

True enough. I bought my last Jeep from this guy though, so he knows I’m good for it and do want it unless there’s a true emergency or major change.

Question, I ordered a Jeep a couple of days ago (copy of it below), I wasnt feeling myself 100% so I made the mistake of not going over the order in detail before I left, assuming everything we had talked about was on there. I was looking over it yesterday and I noticed the dual doors were missing, and I had forgotten to ask for the 4.88 gearing, as it hadn't come up at all. I know my guy played around with trying to add duel doors & duel top, and he likely just forgot to recheck it.

Yesterday after noticing the mistake, I called them to add the two things on and remove the body coloured flares, and just asked them to email me when they had the new order sheet. Didn't hear back until around a couple of hours ago, when I get a call wanting to confirm that it was the dual doors with the premium uppers I had wanted. After the call I texted asking when I should expect the email with the new order sheet I'm finally told that I haven't gotten it because they've had trouble adding the dual doors onto my order, and they have had to call Jeeps head office or whatever to get it sorted.

TL;DR : Has anyone else had trouble adding dual doors to their order after they made it? To be clear, I only have an order number, and there isn't a VIN.

No, but I can kinda see why they’d be hesitant to make changes after the POC. If you want it that much you might need to cancel and reorder.

Gotcha ?? saw people talking about Jeep Wave emails & order emails & married the two. Either way, no email here at all from anyone. Guess I've learned something while gaining nothing.?

I was able to change the color on my build before I had a VIN number. Just took an email from my dealer to the local FHC rep.

Yeah, it's weird because they told me if I changed my mind on anything, just to give them a call, and so as long as it was before I got a VIN, it shouldn't be a problem.... They were able to make 2/3 changes I asked for no problem (delete body coloured flares & add 4.88 gears), but for some reason adding duel doors is a bit of a big to-do?

Why would they be hesitant after they told me I could call if I wanted to make changes so long as it was before I got a VIN?

Ordered my 23 on 7/9. Confirmed and got VON same day. My salesman is back from vacation tomorrow and he will give me the detailed data on scheduling/VIN/build date/etc. But this is what I ordered:
