If you're order is a 2023, nobody has a VIN showing on the tracker yet. That's because they haven't started building them yet. Once they start building that model year, the tracker will start showing the VIN's. On the 2022 orders, the tracker was updated almost immediately with the VIN's.
But there are orders for '23s where people have already received a VIN from their dealer, no? If so, then the VINs do exist already, they're just not in Jeep's tracking system.

Nobody is saying the VIN’s don’t exist. Just that they aren’t updating the 2023’s yet and it’s likely not going to happen until they start building them. I’m not sure that it’s worth worrying about. If there’s a VIN then there’s movement. It’s not as convenient but it’s not like it’s slowing things down.

Not worried, just trying to make better sense of what's going on. As with so many other parts of this process (status change, delivery times, etc.) there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. Several folks who ordered around the same time I did have received their VIN, some within a matter of days after ordering. It's been two weeks for me as of today and still no VIN (checked with the dealer). For others it's been longer. I have no problem with waiting, but it would be nice to have a better sense of how long. An email from Jeep clarifying some of the things we're all speculating about around here would help. Better yet, a version of Jeep Cares where a rep is available on this forum to answer questions about the order process.

You’re not going to be able to make sense of it. Look at the threads for the 2022 orders. People had the same orders with the same add-ons, one would take 2 months, the other took 7 months. The sooner you let go of trying to understand their process for what gets built when, the better off you will be.

Just placed my order (07/29/22). I'm so frickin' excited! I drove (and still own) a 2004 TJ Sport from 2008 to 2018 as my daily driver. Circumstances have temporarily forced me to park it, but this will be a welcomed addition.

2023 JLU Sport S

8 speed auto 850RE
Firecracker Red
Sun and Sound Package
Cold Weather Package

Cloth Black seats

...And 4 additional gallons of gas
