Just a guess, but after watching the recently posted production line video, it seems like it would be much easier for both the workers and machines to either do a bunch of 4-doors or a bunch of 2-doors all in one shot, rather than doing both at the same time, so maybe that has something to do with it?
If I was a worker on that line I'm thinking that I'd want to have a variety flowing through. Wouldn't a huge chunk of identical Jeeps get boring?

So I'm going to throw out something possibly controversial: Is it actually possible that the tracker is fairly accurate and providing timely info??

There is that initial lull because they lump C and D status together. So we're stuck with stale info and no VIN until we hit D1. But after that is seems like it is actually progressing relatively quickly, no?

Am I crazy?

My tracker said I entered production on the 16th, my build sheet didn’t show up until the 19th and unless my jeep is waiting for an inspection and they don’t count that as being built my jeep has been in production for almost a week now which seems a little excessive but I don’t build vehicles for a living so what do I know

It's not that straight-forward unfortunately... or in our case, perhaps fortunately, since I'm 533886 myself. :) The last six digits are production sequence numbers but they also take into account the options you've chosen for your build. It's not just a numerical order. It's closer to a serial number for your vehicle.
My 2 door Rubicon, 6-4 order, has 530196 as last 6 of VIN.

That's fair. It occurs to me that my bar is pretty low because I have a fair bit of experience with their order tracking in the past. Like Jeep chat would tell you you were in D1 status and then the dealer called the same day to tell you your Jeep had arrived. LOL

I’m not really worrying about it, I figure it’ll get here when it gets here. The tracker is cool and I appreciate what they’re trying to do but it does make the wait that much longer seeing zero movement

Think it'd get boring doing the same repetitive tasks over and over again all day regardless. Was thinking more along the lines of just spacing and adjustments needed for the machines that carry the body. But as a worker, think I'd rather get stuck into auto-pilot mode for my task as much as possible for the entire shift. Then you either have someone working twice as fast to suddenly install double the doors (or someone that only installs the rears but now has nothing to do).

I got an update on the tracker. It now says my expected delivery date is 10/1. Have the delivery dates been accurate at all? Has anyone that ordered from Gupton received a delivery date yet

Has anyone who ordered a JLU diesel seen a build date or started production? I'm in D1 with no build date, which I think is odd? Anyone have any diesel orders out there?

Hi, StormyMidwest, yes, I have a JLU Diesel scheduled for production tomorrow 8/22, and received an email from Jeep Brand on Friday saying "is in production" and tracker confirms in production date. Tracker updated Friday to show estimated delivery date of 10/14 (destination is Irvine, CA).

Dates
Ordered: 6/15
Scheduled: 7/6
Production: was originally 8/19, then changed to 8/22 (on 8/10)
Estimated Delivery Date (Tuttle-Click CJDR, Irvine, CA): 10/14

Nice looking build for you! Hopefully your production date is not too far behind.
