I don't know. Who knows with Jeep. It will definitely be interesting to see what they come up with. Also don't forget the hard top adds an extra $1500. I would go for a soft top.Okay I am trying to see your vision here. A stripped down rubicon with 2.0T, no upgrades other than black hard top is 49K MSRP.
How much do you think Jeep would charge a customer to add a 392 HEMI to the Jeep Rubicon in the photo below? 10K? 15K? Either way the numbers with TTL still put the average joe way out of purchasing a stripped down 392.
But yes, it would at least make sense in the Rubicon trim to have the ability to choose 392 as an engine option. That I can agree with you.
Honestly if they don't price it fairly I wouldn't buy it. It's just not worth breaking the bank over. In reality a big heavy v8 in the front end of a Jeep isn't ideal anyways for off roading. Especially with dismal fuel economy.
A lighter weight 2 door with a 2.0T and shorter wheel base would technically be better. Lucky for me I like both platforms.
I'm always torn between the 4 cylinder turbos and the V8s. I like the both for different reasons. It's probably why I owned a 2014 Subaru WRX hatch and a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack. Lol..
