What engine? The turbo will sometimes do that if you have breaked and it is trying to maintain a lower speed in a lower gear? Did you switch to manual mode?
3.6 owner here. mine does it to. I think it is intentional. seems to control speed while going downhill. Note, I drive in full auto mode so I can't say if it does this when shifting yourself.
The auto trans will remain in a lower gear to engine brake slightly if you're going downhill while off the gas and on the brake. It saves the brake pads a little bit and more importantly doesn't accelerate you down the hill. It's normal.
