Hey folks, I have searched and I'm not seeing the answer to my particular issue, so I'm hopeful someone has seen this. I have an early model 2018 JLUR with just under 60k miles. I've replaced the main and auxiliary batteries. Recently, I was driving during rush hour and the auto stop start engaged. When I attempted to start rolling again, everything lit up like a Christmas tree and the Jeep refused to start back up. I ended up having it towed home.
At home, I pulled fuse 42 and disconnected the aux battery negative cable. I wrapped it up and secured it. Unfortunately, in doing so, I ended up frying my N3 fuse so I moved everything to N4 and things fired right up.
Afterwards I started getting some very strange behavior - the jeep electrical system would "turn off" (e.g. panels all went dark) while driving. Obliviously this is a safety concern, and I researched. I had my local dealership apply the flash per the TSB for 2018's. Things seemed great, but just a few days later when I ran out, the Jeep didn't start when I pushed the button and while the system went to "run", the engine didn't start. I cycled it to off, tried again and a full dead instrument panel. I've noticed that if I open the hood, essentially pull on the negative battery cable, it'll show power again and then I can start it. This isn't great.
Any ideas? I do have new fuses in hand (not installed) so I can install them and go back to N3. I had hoped that'd be a backup in case of some future issue, but perhaps that's my issue? I'm at a loss and it isn't sustainable to have the vehicle refusing to start at random moments.
