Hi, so here’s the issue I’ve been having for about 3years. My Jeep has 62k and is mostly an around town vehicle. Nothing extreme.
From time to time the Jeep won’t start. I can tell when this is going to happen because of a stiff brake. With my foot on the brake I touch the start and it clicks then nothing. I have all lights, radio etc. When it first happened in 2020 I simply replaced the main battery. When it left me stranded near a Jeep dealership they sent someone across the street and said it was a loose battery cable. Now it’s happening again so I got a new battery, tightened the cables and it’ll run then it won’t. My son got up underneath and wiggled these wires and it started. I drove it to Jeep and they said it was the AUX battery so they replaced it and tightened some connections. Just got stuck in an intersection on the way to church. Figured out how to pull the strap and get the Jeep out of park to push it. Once it was safe I looked under the driver side wheel, wiggled this cable and bamm it starts and keeps starting in place. I’m back home, it’s starting in the garage 20+ times. Of course I’ll call Charlie at Jeep in the AM but anyone else have a similar problem with this make n model?

Can't tell you..shhh
Did he wiggle the wires attached to the control arm? Those are brake lines. Maybe something ain't triggering the brake switch to allow the jeep to start.

That’s a brake hose and an abs sensor wire. Has absolutely nothing to do with starting.

It’s probably a battery problem.

Wow now that’s a thought!!! I wiggled those wires like I’d shake salt and bamm it started. I’ll let Charlie know that might be an issue. Thank You ❤‍?

Did you see both batteries were replaced at the dealership??
yep. If the starter actually does go *click* then it’s battery, connection, or starter.
