Hey fam...been a while.

Been working from home and havent used my jeep much as much. But I use it 2-3x a week.

Used it Monday. Jus tried hopping in and it wont crank up.

Battery says its 10.xx volts. Just clicks like the battery is dead.

2019 Rubicon 4 door.

Any ideas?

Is it a ESS with smaller battery or eTorque? You have a trickle charger you can plug in? I'd do that.

Got it. I wasnt sure if 10v was ok with no load. So a good battery should always read 12v?

Hey if your battery is dead or potentially near dead - bring it in to a dealer to be tested when you can. They may put in a new one or may even replace both under warranty.

So check the voltage of both batteries - as one may be a lot weaker than the other. Best practice while a hassle is to charge each separately vs in tandem. But in tandem is better than nothing.

We use both NOCO (3) and CTEK (2) smart chargers on various batteries - and we leave them on for months at a time. But there are other charger options as well. Just make sure they cycle off when fully charged so your batteries do not boil.

Thanks! Appointment tomorrow for warranty work. Lets see if they cover it or not. I feel like 1.5 years is too little but Ive never owned a truck like this.

These AGM batteries should last 5+ years. Sounds like you let it sit too long or had a draw on the system, if it isn’t a defective battery from the start.

I recommend the Optima Digital 400 12V Performance Maintainer and Battery Charger.

You dont have to have an optima battery to use this charger. It is optimized for regular and AGM batteries.

85 bucks on Amazon and 90 bucks most other places.
