I found it was the ESS system. The logic between starting and stopping, battery switching power between the Aux and main battery, all contributed to the draining of the aux battery, leading to the non starting. Every time I get in and start it up now, I shut the ESS off. Seems to work for now.....the reliability factor goes way down when my JL has been on a tow truck twice now with only 11K on it.

The ESS battery has caused lots of issues especially with 2018‘s that don’t have the software patch that allows them to start with the ESS battery dead, after 2018 it was updated but those that have a 2018 can get the patch but you can also jumper N1 to N2 and disconnect the ESS negative to get you going.

There are lots of options for dealing with this that range from pretty cheap to pretty pricy just depends on what you want.
