Hello,
I recently began noticing a faint burning smell. It only lasted a short time after starting and wasn't every time. Yesterday I pressed start and the engine briefly began to turn over and I saw white smoke from the left side of my hood. I believe it was the ABS control module. Pulling the codes seems to confirm with a C212A along with B2199. Now everything displays properly but it will not turn over. Would an ABS outage prevent the car from starting? Is it failing to recognize me pressing the brake pedal? Is there anyway I can bypass directly to the starter?
