I have pmed Jeepcares, just waiting for a response from them.

It just seems like a longer middle bow or a clip of some sort would have helped.

The car was was because I was in a rush to get a friend, and we'll... I learned not to rush lol. Least the soaps smelled good.
FYI - I checked and can also squeeze my hand under the top with not much effort. I would abandon that as any sort of test criteria. Iā€™ve had my Jeep for 7 months and 11,000 miles. Iā€™ve been in gnarly wind and torrential downpours (even a flash flood). Zero flapping and zero water ingress.

I hope they get you straightened out. Good luck!

Good to hear that not every one has the same issue. I was worried if it was a 2 door "feature" there wouldn't be a real fix, but being something that not everyone deals with then that means it is fixable!

I've had mine for just over 6 months and only have just over 4100 miles. Jeepcares has taken my info and told me they will escalate, so thank you Jeepcares.

I had the same exact thing happen to my premium top in my JL Rubi a few months ago. There was a strong crosswind during a rainstorm and I actually felt the raindrops hitting me in the face from being blown inside my Jeep. @JeepCares this is an obvious design flaw or defect from the factory. This never happened on my JK.
Hi AnebuR,
We understand why this may be frustrating. Please feel free to send us a private message if you plan to have your dealer look into this concern for you. We're happy to assist during this process.

Update for anyone following

Jeep did call me but because I've been going through the service manager and not through the regular service department, they didn't see a "ticket" for the top issues. No ticket means no help with it.

Service manager has me going to a trim shop to get a second opinion on the top, he will then send that info to Jeep and see what they say.

Kinda annoying that Jeep instead of talking to me about the issue pretty much said no help until I make an appointment.

Mine does the same thing Iā€™ve pretty much just decided to live with it like most other problems Iā€™ve had it seems impossible to get them to fix it the tabs on my back window donā€™t stay down either but Iā€™m sure thatā€™s unrelated

The tab issue happens on my top as well, but it happened on my JK too. I'm not to worried about them since they don't let water in... this does though.

I have the same issue as well. While unrelated, this is definitely a design issue worthy of a TSB on its own. I've never had that happen on my JK.

The soft top SIDE REAR, LOWER TABS----have a plastic/nylon "LIP" on the inside and you can't see it, unless you're looking for it--

That lip(1/2"), must be TUCKED UNDER IT'S BOTTOM RIDGE--that will hold the side of the soft top IN PLACE/w no bulging/slippage-

Good luck

Can you provide a little more context or a pic? Is this location above the door or B pillar?

Did you read the post ??

I gave the location and what to look for--if that's not enough, I don't know what else and no I'm not taking any pictures--there's only two rear lower corner tabs-

I was asking if the lower tabs were on the top, or the removable side sections. If I am reading in correctly then, where you are referencing the removable side sections, it makes no sense to reference the bottom of those as the issue in question is with the gap between the fold down top and the roll bar/top of B pillar.

So I went to an upholstery shop to take a look at the top. He said there is nothing he can do to fix it he thought maybe the gaps in the fabric where you can see the wire were meant for a clip like system. Went back to my dealer and he forwarded the information to Jeep. They are now taking the info to best top.

So more waiting woo!

Maybe good news? I have an engineer I think from Bestop coming down to look at it this week. Luckily I'm in Colorado and they are too.
