Did you guys get the soft top or the hard top? My understanding is hard top production starts Feb 12 and soft top production starts March 12.
Soft top.

Mine is a soft top. I've heard that repeated about start dates but I haven't found where it was originally said and/or why or when. So I don't know how much stock to put in that rumor. I think everything at this point is still speculation.
It's from this thread: 2018-2019 JL Wrangler production timeline

I sent a PM to @JeepCares with my VIN and VON to see if they could shed any light of 2 door soft top dates given that hard top orders are currently not being taken, but haven't heard back yet. I'm sure they are getting hammered with requests since announcing their presence here the other day.

OldGuyNewJeep - Thanks for the reference. I was wondering where these dates were coming from. Here are my HOPES - That schedule came out 6 months ago; prior to any productions so I HOPE they have adjusted it (to my favor of course), but I haven't seen anything to give me an indication one way or the other.

Let us know what you hear back from JeepCares. Also hoping that paid customer orders get priority over general dealership orders.

I switched to a hard top hoping for an earlier delivery but I’ve seen dual tops delivers so I don’t know why that’s an issue.

Sold orders get priority status to inventory orders.

I got a little pissy last night and sent Jeep contact an email about the lack of information on 2 door production scheduling and etc and that I was considering another brand. I think it was the new "Late Availability" tagline on Jeep build and price that irritated me. I hadn't seen that the other 379 times I built out a two door Rubi. I sold my 17 LTZ Z71 so am currently in a borrowed car until Jeep arrives. Don't want to have to buy a beater then Rubi show up two weeks later. This is the response I got if it sheds any light. Admittedly, information we already knew. Ordered 1/22, hoping for mid March delivery. Also hoping for a golden ticket to show up in my inbox for my "unhappiness".

Congratulations on your 2018 Jeep Wrangler Order!

We regret to read that you are unhappy with the lack of information
being provided when it comes to your 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door Order.
Our resources indicate that the all-new 2018 Jeep Wrangler 2-Door models
had a delayed production start time and have just began production in
mid-February.

I would be happy to review your order and provide you with an update
regarding the production progress of your new Jeep, however, we will
require the last 8 characters of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)
in order to do so. If you do not have the last 8 characters of the VIN,
we will require the 8 numbers of the Vehicle Order Number (VON). Once we
have obtained this information, we will be able to provide a precise
response.

You are always welcome to reply back to this email and we will respond
back to you as promptly as we can. If you prefer, you can also call us
directly with your questions at the Jeep Product Information Center by
calling 1-877-426-5337.

Thank you for your email, Brian. Have a great day!

Just checked two sources, No "D-1" as of yet. All Billet, Hardtop, 6-Speed, Rubi that was ordered on 12/05.

I'm still D as well, but I wasn't really expecting anything to start moving until next week.

You knew your status already though, correct? I mean, as far as I know, every two-door order is still sitting in D at the moment and have been in D for quite some time--aside from that period where they kicked some to C and then back to D the following week.

Not bashing you, but I think I'm at a loss as to what you were hoping to accomplish here. Kicking up dust with the Jeep customer service people isn't going to put your Jeep into production any sooner. I get it if you were wronged like the guy that got his order hijacked, but that just isn't the case here.

Regardless, here's hoping all of our orders start getting built soon. :fingerscrossed:

Ordered my 2 door, Rubi, Soft Top January 23rd and D status. I really don't expect my JL until April?

April is optimistic, in my opinion.
