Why further delay your JL? I think most on order will be built in March-April.

After seeing on here and fb, some of the issues that others are having, I figure the assembly line should slow down and issues cleaned up. I am sure I will just take my Rubi and drive away but it is frustrating not getting ant real feed back from dealer or Jeep chat

I am sure I would. I probably will stay with it just getting worried and frustrated. Plus I want to be driving my jeep not my work Transit. Just being a bitch

Ordered 2dr 6MT hardtop Rubi Dec 23rd. Hope the info about 2dr builds starting today is true! I’m going to give it a day or two and recheck my status.

Ordered 2 door Rubicon premium soft top on 1/6. I am hoping for early/mid April for delivery. They sell the 2 doors in far lower numbers than the 4 doors and dealers stock less 2 doors in inventory. I am hoping this helps the delivery timeline for those of us who ordered 2 doors.

While I’d love to believe you’re right, I doubt very much we’ll get our soft tops in April. If my order hits D1 by April I’ll be pleased.

I could be totally wrong, but I was thinking the JLU's were being built at the old Cherokee facility ( i.e. this was/is the first run for the Cherokee plant to build JLU's ) while the 2-DR's were supposed to start up at the actual Wrangler side along with the last JK's. So hopefully, this will mean that the plant employees that have built Wranglers for many years will build our 2drs vs. the JLU's which are being built by those that build cherokees in the past.

I could be competely wrong on this, nevertheless, ordered 2dr rubi on 1/18 with hard top and a bunch of other features, and am eager to see if 2dr's spool up soon!

We ordered a 2 door soft top Sport S on Jan 26. Our dealer is telling us late March or early April. Sure hope he knows what he is talking about. My wife has been driving her TJ soft top for almost 20 years, time to treat her to a new one.

Last week I got a VIN from my dealer.
Friday, Jeep Customer Care said:

I was able to find the information for you and the vehicle is scheduled. The VIN was assigned and the vehicle should be entering the build process very soon as all of the materials needed to start the build process has been received. This is the longer stage in the build. The assembly is “simple”. So it looks like pretty soon your vehicle will be ready.​

So, I will check back the end of this week.
