Wow. I wish!!! My small town living that rarely has me driving much distance has me stuck in the teens. I’m hoping our 5 hour road trip next weekend gets it back up again!
My mileage got better with the new tires, (315/70/17) Before my thruway driving at 70mph was lower (19) than my local driving (20). Perhaps the 410 gearing is the reason? Now 21+ thruway and 20+ local.

Your trip should show better numbers. The 24.1 is an average of my all my city/hwy/crawling driving. By the time I got home the avg went up to 24.4! During that particular trip I was getting about 30 mpg!
Wow!!! No way has Vida ever gotten close to that! How do you get that??? Lol. I’ve seen other people reporting great milage & I’m definitely not getting anything overly impressive. She beats the 11.5mpg bs from the JK loaner I had last week, though!!

That's after adjusting your speedometer? Or is there still some error due to tire size miss-match?

Stormie has a standard transmission, so when I'm in town I get her out of 1st gear at around 2000 rpm then do any accelerating in 2nd & 3rd gears; which helps my "city" gas mileage. When I'm crawling, I usually always do it in 2nd - sometimes in 3rd but that's usually too fast; 2nd gear is perfect for crawling the speed I need (about 8-10 mph). Then the rest is her just being a great Jeep! She loves the highway! I get her into 6th at about 60 mph and go from there! :) :jk:

For those with the 2dr. or that will be getting a 2dr., you will want to get a storage bag to protect that pricey rear seat of yours when you take it out of the JL. Sure you will take it out and leave it out for extended periods, leave it out all together, or at the least take it out when you have to transport alot of crap.... 8-) You need to protect that seat when it is out of your JL.

Read here about a $15.99 storage bag that is terrific:

.
Xmas time is approaching and my guess is, the price of this bag may go up at that time and availability may be an issue.

For those newcomer's that are looking for a terrific bag to store your 2dr. rear seat in when you have it out, well, this bag is terrific... The bag is still avail. @ $15.99.

Not sure how you’re doing this, since there aren’t many downhills where you are.

Just make sure she’s a real jeep under the hood.

Thanks for the remind. Went ahead and got it. I’ll have to haul 3 other people around for the next 8 weeks, but after that I’ll likely pull the trigger and take seat down.
I’ll be putting the lift pro together soon. I’m working this weekend so I don’t think I can do it, but next weekend I’m off. Will send pictures, Lydia. (Unless the whole thing explodes or something...)
