Morning folks!

Got me a 2 day leadership summit starting this morning.... don’t these people know I have a tracker I need to refresh every 10 minutes?

Last update I have shows railcar unloaded, so now it’s just a matter of getting loaded on a truck. For some reason I am being optimistic and thinking it will hit dealership by Thursday. Rough estimate shows around 90 in transit to my area, and close to 40 of those are for my dealership. 2 hour drive from railyard to dealership, so yeah thinking it will go quick!

Good morning everyone. I hope for good news and pics this week. I can not
believe there are a few long waits still here. I want the best for you very soon.
Yes it is worth the wait if that helps but yet this should not be happening.
You waiters are very strong and something I just could not do.

On another note: Who with a hardtop is getting the "Rattle". It will most likely
happen to you too. I had a rattle for a week now and could not find it. CRAZY !!!!
After searching this form and Net it was a very simple fix. It was on passenger side
if you hit small bumps. It is the plastic cover on hardtop right behind both seats.
Looks to be fastened with double stick tape. After out in the sun for a time it becomes
loose. For now I have pushed it back in place until fixed correctly.

@Sweetwater

I was the one who posted that I had found the plastic cover (one behind driver and one behind passenger) on my 2dr. hardtop, was the source of rattles I had on both sides. Geeeez, it was an annoying rattle. Like it was coming from within the door or something.

Here is my original post on this:
https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/weird-plastic-rattle.10570/#post-251573

Anyway, I addressed each plastic cover and the rattle(s) have not occurred. I do expect that should I hit the wrong bump that one or the other side plastic piece could jar loose and rattle again. Time will tell.

Also, yes the factory has them fastened with little pieces of black double sided tape that is not up to the job so to speak.

The fix that I did about a month ago has kept me rattle free so far..

I popped the covers a bit, so I could get my fingers in there to work and so I could take a pic to show others here.

Anyway, behind the cover you will see/find two black sponge rubber affairs. They have adhesive on each side. The side that was to adhere to the removable plastic piece did not hold/let go of the plastic cover and thus the rattle.

Anyway, I took two strips of Command Strips and placed on right on top of the black sponge rubber affairs. I also had stuffed a sheet of paper towel in the lower part of the plastic cover below the low black spongy thing. Then I just pressed the plastic cover down firmly and held it real tight for a minute and that was it. The Command strips grabbed firmly and held and continue to hold.

See pic below... plastic cover pulled away a bit ...of the 2 little black spongy things:

Anybody having glitches with the radio/Uconnect? Even when listening to XM, at the beginning of songs, I get 1 beat of distortion 5 or 10 seconds in to the song.

I thought maybe I had a bad lighting (Apple) cable, but it is happening on XM too.

If this has been discussed already, sorry and can you post the link?

Rear Seat Storage Solution.....

Here is something many of you 2 door owner's that remove and place in storage (long or short time storage) your rear seat, will undoubtedly really appreciate knowing about it .

My guess is many will go and order one of these today.

Over the years, I have used garbage bags and the like ....

but with the JL, I decided I must come up with a really decent solution for protecting my 2dr rear seat when it is removed and in storage.

I want it sealed in something zippered, something that does not look like chitt. Something that I could easily unzipper and look into..

I wanted it not to be a real tight fit.

I want it in an enclosed bag that does not let let pass thru to the seat. This will prevent fading while in storage.

Again, sealed against the elements, against critters, bugs, etc.. I want to put moth balls and or dryer sheets in with it to ward off the critter's and bugs.

OH, also wanted something bag wise that was durable and cheap and had a decent zipper

Found something that meets all these wants...

By the way, I was looking at top lift pro; holding off ordering til I figure my finances. Anyway, what do you think of their caddy for the doors and the 99$ bag cover that comes with it?

The TopLift Pro is a terrific offering and if you plan to go topless often, it is worth it's weight in gold...

As for the door caddy and bag cover, I would go for home grown alternatives that do not require such a $ outlay.

With the TopLift Pro lift, you will always be able to resell that down the road someday (when you sell your JK) for at least half of what you paid for it.
