Oh yea I forgot I have the safety group too, manual. Been so long I don't even remember anymore lol.

I saw that thread. There was one single Jeep shown with the porous welds. I didn't see the end result. Hopefully the owner got a new Jeep.

One is hardly a quality control issue .

You are wrong this is not a quality control issue.

a re-weld is not like oh say a bad connector. It occured as part of some process, which guessing is due to the tops/body not aligning, and the unit gets pulled to the side for this process. This process is leaving unpainted frame exposed to rust. This is not a quality process.

We dont know total numbers of course, one guy found it at the shop another member found it after going out and checking his. I am sure not all have it, and we know most people have not gone under and looked.

but right now you certainly could get it as there is a process for them to do so. Hopefully this gets caught and the quality problem fixed.

ITs also highly likely some units are shipping with "whistletops" that should have gotten the bubble weld magic.

New jeep for it? I doubt it, they are not doing this on accident, maybe they will paint it? I hope so.
I am also hoping they figure out the framing before assembly, but its liekly more complicated than that.

You can bet your arse I am checking mine and body alignment before writing a check (no way to order, gotta check ones in lot live)

They are water profiling hard tops first, and soft tops are 3 weeks out the chat said. (no more whistletop?)

Yes sir, they are awesome! I liked it so much, that I got the Trackhawk to drive daily. I do still have my Hellcat and in fact just took it out of the garage for it's maiden voyage this season. The upgrades over the winter have proven to me that there is such a thing as too much power! Lol

Yes sir, they are awesome! I liked it so much, that I got the Trackhawk to drive daily. I do still have my Hellcat and in fact just took it out of the garage for it's maiden voyage this season. The upgrades over the winter have proven to me that there is such a thing as too much power! Lol

Jeep needs to add a web cam at Toledo for Jeeps rolling off the assembly line. I'd sure like to know when the first batch of 2 doors make their way to transport to dealers. I'm in D1 and I keep hoping my dealer will call and give me an ETA date!

my 2 door still in D and a quick check of the order tracking spreadsheet says still 22 2 doors in D1, not a one of those has progressed beyond D1 yet, all are 3.6L engine. i know we've seen other 2 doors on this thread get past D1, but flood gates should open up a bit once we see movement on those 22.....
