This will be my 4th wrangler. Yes I’m waiting for my 2 door Rubi (soft top). Don’t get discouraged and just hang in there. Nothing agains the JK as we still have our 2015 2 door Willy’s and love it, but the JL is so much nicer than the JK and you will for sure regret it after you see the 2 door JLs rolling out there. What’s a few more weeks in the scheme of things?
:surprised: "Willy's" :surprised:

Auto correct

Yeah the wife wanted a Willys, it’s actually pretty capable for what it is. She won’t part with it until there is a JL version.

Phew! Here in Toledo you get burned at the stake for saying "will-ies"! ;)

I would keep this thing for ever if it were a manual transmission.

Gorgeous Jeep. I wouldn't be surprised if I just trade up to a Willy's JL when and if they come out. I love the whole premise of that trim--budget offroader, basically half Rubicon

Offtopic, but does anyone own the potential unicorn that is the JK Willy's with the $1500 optional rear Tru-Loc (is that what it's called?) locker? Always thought that was a really steep price for upgrading an LSD to one locker. I kinda wonder what that one locker interior switch looks like.

I absolutely agree! Best trim in my opinion. I can't wait to get into a manual though so I'm going with a Rubicon JL

You'll love it--that new manual is a peach.

The only thing I don't like about it is that "rocking" the vehicle offroad is gonna be next to impossible now. Reverse is now on the left (maybe it was in the JK? I don't remember), and it has a collar to pull for reverse. That's not gonna be easy to slam between R and 1.

Mine's a couple years early, but that would be the perfect Wrangler!

it really is really capable for what it is. Had it out at southington and it had zero issues tackling everything we threw at it. For the money it’s really a bargain. For me though I’m getting another Rubicon but in the 2 door, hated the 4 door.

I bought my 2015 with an automatic thinking I would do more rock crawling than I have and although my wife knows how to drive a manual, she just doesn't like to. But now three years later she has driven my Jeep half a dozen times and I haven't done nearly as difficult offroading I was hoping for so I really want my manual transmission back.

I didn’t care much for the JK manual in my Rubi. Between the super long throws and the 4 door it was like driving a milk truck. This new one looks to be quite a bit better.

I did drive a manual JK and liked it better than the automatic, but you do have to enjoy driving a truck to use that transmission.

I drove trucks for quite a few years and really don’t mind them. The problem I think was from driving a wrx and an sti for a few years before it that I became super spoiled.

Wow, that's a world of difference! My last manual was a VW GTI which was beautiful too, but any stick is better than an automatic after this long without!

Yeah there isn’t anything else like a manual to help you feel the car and become one with it. But as I get older (not really a good excuse, maybe lazier would be better statement) I enjoy the convenience of the automatic. I really don’t mind the 5 speed auto in the Willys and am looking forward to the improvements in the new JL auto.
