I got the same response today, 2 door production start mid AprilI know Jeep chat isn’t always the most reliable source of information, but here’s what I got from mine. Now mind you I don’t know how early you were able to order 2 doors so this info may or may not be any good. Anyways in my chat today I got the 2 door production is to begin sometime in April statement, then was told that mine probably wouldn’t be built until sometime in May since I ordered in early February and that the orders from SEPTEMBER - January would be filled first. Obviously that should be the case, first come first serve, but were they even able to be ordered way back in September? If so then May would be a pretty realistic answer from her.
I’m asking my dealer for an accurate status.I don't know, the stories are starting to add up! Are you getting nervous you might be wrong Negative Nancy?
i sort of wonder the same thing - like it’s just these forums and a few thousand others, so maybe 5-10k total 2 door preorders, in which case they should fly through production once it’s runningWhen I went in to my dealer in March, he was surprised he could even order the 2 door, and I was the first one he had put in. So maybe there isn't such a huge backlog after all? That would be good.
I hope they don't fall to 10% FCA might decide its not worth building the 2drs anymore. We see how much importance they placed on producing the 2 drs this year.i sort of wonder the same thing - like it’s just these forums and a few thousand others, so maybe 5-10k total 2 door preorders, in which case they should fly through production once it’s running
my bet is that 2 door drops to 10 percent of wrangler sales within 2 to 3 years. it’s still floating toward 20 percent as of last year through the JK run
they lost me at 167 is more than twice 87An article for those who are wondering about the time it takes for assembly.
