We ordered within a day of each other!

I have to figure out when to list my current vehicle for sale...lest I end up in your situation. At the same time, having 2 cars in NYC is a bear. Nevermind that the cash from the WJ is the down payment for the JL...

I did everything at the dealer on February 14th (Happy Valentine’s Day to me!) & they processed it next day.
The silver lining of my having to borrow is no car/insurance payments while I wait! More for the down payment!
As far as I know I’ll be using my brother in law’s farm truck that sits all week anyway. A few years ago my sister’s car at the time was a pile, so I let her drive mine for a few months while I continued to make all the payments. Karma is due to go my way for this round of borrowing.

I’ll be commiserating with you on that wait. It’ll be worth it though! The worst part for me is turning in my leased vehicle on April 16th & then having to rely on borrowing from other people. Ughhhhhh. I hate that!

Oh no! I’m still hoping that date was a conservative estimate and it will be sooner.

are you sure you wanna go that long with out an insurance policy?
I sold my car a week after I ordered my rubi on 2/5. was gonna cancel my insurance but was told I would lose my accident forgiveness and other perks I got for being a policy holder for 6 years. I made everything as cheap as possible and took off collision and comprehensive. I was refunded $350. my genesis coupe insurance was around $750 for 6 months. now its $225 lol. if you cancel with plans to add another car to the policy, geico has I think a 14 or 30 (I forget which) day period where you can shop for cars.

The company I’m with I’ve only been with for one year. I haven’t even contacted my broker yet, but I’ll do whatever he suggests.

My dealer made some phone calls. Wanted to make sure the time frame was still okay with me. Not sure there is much choice, I'm not changing my mind! It'll be a long painful wait though.

Not trying to bring everyone down but this sites tracking spreadsheet still has your build status as 'D'. The only 2 door JL in D1 (from the tracking sheet) is cedxc2005. Either your dealer has found a bit of inside info or they are estimating. I am hoping he found something.

I Ordered 2/5, was in 'D' almost immediately after ordering but after about 4 weeks it was changed back to 'C' and then back to 'D'.

C - tentative schedule
D - firm schedule: serial number is assigned.
D1 - gateline: plant has sequenced the unit for production, estimated ship date assigned
D2 - gateline: framing and build imminent, usually within 3-6 days

Anyone else have a 2 door build date?

Just got off the phone with my dealer. He is being told 2 door production is to start the first week of April. Also told him sold orders are to be first in order of sale. Ordered ours middle of January, hoping to have it by the end of May!

Talked to my dealer today and he said I am D1 with a build date of either the 6th or 9th (can't remember which he said) and a ship date of April 13. I ordered a 2 door Sport S, Manual, Hard Top on December 18, 2017.
