Umm...you're kind of missing the point. No one is talking about what price anyone paid, or if they are happy with it, or if they got a better deal than someone else, etc. The point is whether or not the price that was agreed upon (whatever that price may be) when the order was initially placed is going to change. If my order was placed after the price increase went into effect, then so be it, but if my order was placed prior, it's another story. But honestly, I am not too worried about it. My dealer is really good. On a somewhat related side note, I own a 2017 Rubicon Hard Rock. I initially placed the order on a Saturday in August 2016 - the order was for a 2016 model. When my dealer went to place the order on the following Monday, they noticed that the order banks for 2016s was closed and that they could not place the order for a few more weeks when the 2017 banks opened up. They assured me that if there were any price increases, that they would eat them. Well sure enough, the 2017s got LED headlights and there was a 6 or 7 hundred dollar price increase. Not only did my dealer eat the cost of the price increase, but they also let me add the tailgate reinforcement package which wasn't an option on the 2016s ($800 or $900 MSRP I think) and they did not charge me for it.There’s always going to be someone who brags about how much more money they saved than you. I think if you are happy with the price you paid then you got a great deal.
EDIT: I poked around a bit and it looks like the increase was $500 (to both invoice and MSRP) plus an additional $250 to the destination charge. Is that correct?
