If you look under the frame there are two big bolts. That’s it! Takes about thirty minutes to put both on.
well they're sending me the camera, and license relocation bracket for the jl , i honestly told them dont worry about the bumper cause that thing is never coming off!
Thanks, TJ!There's a pretty cool app called, Jeep Badge of Honor. Among other things, it shows you where the nearest trails in your area are! I have it on my phone, but can't really use it down here since there aren't any "real Jeep trails" that the app recognizes. But it does list some in NC!
Other than congrats, I have 2 things to say:Long time reader of this page, but first time poster! Eleanor my Rubi is FINALLY in my driveway! A few things to share with everyone that is getting antsy and still waiting!!
1. This page has kept me fairly entertained on a daily basis! Made me laugh on days I thought I was never going to get my Jeep, and it was very informative for when I did get it!
2. I waited to order my Jeep when I knew production was supposed to start so I didn’t have to wait as long as some! Then production was stopped, and I learned that PST was delayed even more! But eventually on June 13 she was built!
3. Jeep Chat is a joke! I didn’t believe it until I tried it. I finally caved and let’s just say I can’t believe Jeep even lets them have that kind of customer service! I tried the 866 number and they didn’t know anything either. The 877 number was the most helpful! They gave me a start date, and a date they would “load” it on a train.
4. Nicole was helpful up until the point Jeep lost my Jeep and couldn’t tell me where it was. Needless to say I found out yesterday that it had been sitting in Ft Worth waiting to be loaded on a truck for over 3 weeks!
5. My dealer was awesome! They kept me updated as best they could, worked an awesome deal for a trade in on my 2014 JK. The manager even told me last night that they finally sent a tow truck up to Alliance where it had come off the train to pick it up for me instead of waiting any longer! Awesome service! They walked me through most everything that I needed to know, got me hooked up with a life time warranty, and most important filled up my tank. Lol! I had been putting $20 at a time in my JK just in case they called. Lol! Then of course I fill it up getting tired of waiting and then they call!
6. The JL is awesome! Everyone still waiting and getting a bit restless it will all go away once you drive yours!
7. My tires were over inflated but I did not notice the Jeep driving crazy! Maybe that’s part due to the fact I have been driving a JK and fully knew what to expect. I still haven’t “aired down” yet but I will today.
8. This beast can turn like a dream! I don’t know what it will be like once lifted, and 37’s, but right now I am by far amazed!
9. The 8 speed is like no other Jeep before! I can hardly tell when it is shifting, and I am not afraid to pull out on a busy street. In my JK I would wait for all the traffic to clear before I pulled out because I couldn’t get up to speed fast enough! Now it like a race car compared to the JK!
10. The start/stop feature pisses me off!! The first time it killed the engine at the red light I freaked out! I soon figured out how to turn it off when you get in!!!
11. The radio is amazing! Sounds just as good with the soft top as if you are driving a “real” car!!
12. I cannot wait until I can take it off road to see what it can really do!
Thanks again to everyone posting helpful hints, and the entertainment! My favorite thing to do was watch this page! Even more than FB! My husband would say why do you have to check that page every morning and I would say “I have to tune in to the Restless and Jeepless to see what is going to happen”
I will update again after I have had it a bit, but I can say now... If you are still thinking about buying one just go for it! You will not be disappointed!! Pics are from the dealer after I told my husband it was here he drove down to make sure! Lo!
Oh yea! And Eleanor got her name because 2018 JL’s are some rare “unicorn” so I hear! Anyway so was the Shelby Mustang in Gone in 60 Seconds! Same color as all!!
The blue looks great for sure. Congratulations on finally getting it! I'm at about 6 weeks, hoping to have it by August, but seems doubtful. 8 weeks isn't long compared to some, but boy waiting is hard period!Well, it was finally delivered and well worth the wait! I feel lucky that my overall timeline from order to delivery was relatively short - only about 8 weeks. The color is amazing, especially in the sunlight.
Heck no I checked it many times a day... My husband only thinks I checked it once a day!
Others have said this, and I will certainly agree, but once it does come in, all the angst of the waiting period goes away. The difference between this new one and my old JK is amazing.
Ya I gotta admit I was getting down waiting for a 2 door to appear so I could even see if I could fit in it. As its kinda my "fun toy" vs the grocery getter 5000, its easy to start thinking about being practical.
