I basically ordered the same one you did, 2 door as well. Just a day earlier than you. Really curious how long this is going to take!

According to a post in the “Are two doors being built yet” thread, someone was told they won’t even be starting them until mid March. That’s cutting it too close to comfort for me!

From Jeep Customer Assistance today: 2 dr JL Rubicon, 8 spd Auto, Hard Top. Ordered 12/12/17

we spoke earlier today! I sent your file to one of our Jeep Specialist regarding the status of your vehicle build. The Specialist has relayed that: -Production of the 2-Door Wranglers is not slated to begin until mid/late-March. - We would encourage you to contact us back in late-March/early-April for an update. We are extremely sorry for this information and the delay!

She wouldn’t provide any reason for the delay.

Bummer. Seems pretty confirmed. Launch is going quite poorly. What caused this delay? Remembering that some parts are different on the two door??

As the OP, I'm really pleased to be the first to post into this thread with a scheduled 2dr build. Projected ship date is 11 days away so it sure looks like hardtop 2drs are being built now as per the plant timeline. Told I may get it around mid March.

If I revel in the good news, I guess I have to suffer the bad. Got an updated POC today and I'm pushed back to D status from D1. Not at all surprised given that 2dr production has yet to begin and there's no consensus on when it may begin. There is still an assigned ship date that is this Saturday, but I place no value in it.

They have more demand for the 4 door and make more money, same as the after market.

I must say this news is discouraging. I ordered 2 door Rubi Manual on 1/22 and anticipated waiting, but to be honest, the lack of information from Jeep on this launch is turning me off. As I am between cars and waiting on the new Rubi, I am close to bailing and going with something else. As one said above, the goal posts keep getting moved. Not a game I like to play. It may be late May for delivery from an originally anticipated late March delivery.

Aye. Starting to get worried and/or annoyed myself. Worst case I'd have to get something else and delay the wrangler dream until it's available, and with the issues ironed out.

I suppose worst case I'd live with a late summer delivery. I really don't wanna budge on waiting a couple months into 2-door production.

If I would have known it was going to take this long I would have considered waiting for the JT. I placed my order on January 18th. The dealer told me they would receive it in 6-8 weeks. Obviously the dealer is not the most reliable source but I was hoping to receive my Jeep by mid March. Now it sounds like it might be closer to May. I am really tempted to cancel my order but I'm afraid the JT will have the same issues with delays. Wouldn't mind holding out an additional 9 months but I think it will be much longer.
