2 DOOR JL build/order discussions master thread

I sold my JKUR and am waiting to see the JLR before I decide what to do.
I believe the problem is the 2 doors are leaking and rusting the frames and the Toledo Walmart is out of flex seal.

It’s like Bon Scott once said “It’s a long way to the top if you want a 2 door JL”.

For your sake, I hope your dealer's right. However, it currently looks like production started for a very limited number and then shut down again. The tracking spreadsheet on this site only shows one built 2dr JL in what should have been 10 days production. Yours could have been one the few that slipped under the wire.

Crypto stickers now has 5 “legitimate” looking 2 doors.

From reddit, from a Jeep reprocess Manager who shared the photo of the first two doors builds:

“I see you went back to D. We are extremely short on 2 door parts so we have only been building 4 or 5 2 doors per day. Last I heard they were going to ramp the builds up once JK shuts down April 27th. Most of the suppliers are supper thin because they supply both plants right now, and they didn't expect us to build as fast as we are. The past 2 JK weekend production days have been canceled due to parts, so they can supply JL. Up until this month, I had never seen JK not work a Saturday.”

Part shortages get resolved, if thats the biggest issue we are fine. That is way better than they cant get the track bars to stay on and the engines are bursting into flames while all the computer flash 666 on the dash.

Maybe the problem is part shortage. If the JK is still being built, as an insider posting states above, this would limit the parts to supply JL. Supposedly JK production stopped the end of March; then again this info was from a supposedly accurate internal FCA source which most likely wasn't very accurate.

They most definitely will not slow 4 door production; God forbid they slow down their bread and butter cash flow to supply us 2 door customers.

This is wonderful news, but we shouldn't have to get it from a clandestine factory source; FCA should be informing its valued customers. As we've all been accustomed to; FCA isn't in the habit of being very transparent.
