Not a fan of mud flaps either, but on the JL I broke down and got a pair for the front. I'm not overly concerned about the paint or the interior, for me the final straw was having to break ice/slush out of the door handle. Wasn't an issue in my TJs, may not be an issue for me. The m/ts I have like throw big chunks of slush and it would gather in that door handle. Like others, I went with the rokblokz on the front. I've had them about a year so far they're fine. I have hit them on rocks offroading and they seem to flex and bend when they need to. Each side can be removed with three thumb screws while you're airing down for the trail, so they're not the worst thing ever. Nobody has laughed at them yet, at least not to my face.
Front mud flaps on a JL. Nobody will make fun of you, if you know you know. Without them the door handles will be a glob of mud, snow, slush, road grime and salt. I'm not one to be afraid of dirt but seriously? It's worthy of a practical joke.

Rokblokz are super tough but they have one Achilles Heel. Going in reverse in rocky terrain. If they get caught between a rock and the tire they'll get ripped right off. Which is why they're removable. (Don't ask how I know that. I'll lie.)

- soft top storage bag
- rain cover for when its naked
- doors off mirror kit (that dont shake)
- tonneau cover
- door sill guards
All of those sound like good purchases except for the door sill guards. I can't speak for every brand but from what I've read, some people have complained about them breaking the seal to the doors and/or scratching the paint off the bottom of the doors.

yup.. hate the look of mudflaps but might be necessary.. doors and rear fenders where full of crap when i drove in a winter storm so i can only imagine how muddy the inside will get when i take it offroad with no doors... gonna try before i pull the trigger on flaps tho ?
If you install takeoff Rubicon rock rails, the WeatherTech front mud flap integrate very nicely. Not removable though. If I bust them up on the trail I will move to Rokblokz.

Previous owner damaged the clear coat on my hood with a bug deflector. I had to have it cut and buffed, then applied a clear bra strip to the area to make it look presentable again.

And, sadly, if you keep that Jeep for more than a few years the paint protection film will begin to yellow and eventually crack. I see it all the time on older high end cars here.

The windjammer is optional, the tonneau cover by itself is very good fit & finish, I got the heavier fabric option.
Looks like a nice price here if you have a soft top, the hard top (which I have is more $$)

I bought the Mopar rain cover for the 4 door JLU and it fits the 2 door just fine.
Tighten the straps a bit extra. for other ideas, lots of minor stuff that I like - click my build thread link below.
i think mopar makes one for the 2 door no? likely gonna go with that... and i like the softop bag u have in your build link... 40$ canadian vs like 280$ for OEM and most reviews say its very simular... hows it holding up for you so far?

Maybe a set of front mud flaps? Not sure about your Michelins, but my KO2s love picking up rocks and kicking them up into the door, window and rear fender. I went with the RokBlokz standard non-XL half-kit (LINK) for just the front and it helped quite a bit, though a few still get by. The WeatherTech splash guards were my second choice (LINK).
came on here to try and save a few bucks but now im gonna end up spending more than i originally planned ? want a few things i didnt want before posting, like mudflaps...

seriously considering rokbloks but wondering how they hold up in rough winters... read a few reviews that say they chipped and if im gonna be replacing them often ill just go with something cheaper... that being said, they offer regular size and XL, anyone know how much more XL would cover or if regular size is sufficient ? also wondering the real benefit to the back flaps besides not spitting rocks at other cars? probably gonna order just the front ones but also wondering if the back ones would fit on the front so i can keep them in case the front ones chip...

likely going with this one after looking at a few... just wanna make sure there arent any magnets i gotta attach and im guessing theres no way to install when the softop is in back? gotta be taken off completely?
I have a hardtop so can't help regarding how it would work w/ your soft top. There are no magnets, it's long plastic reinforced strips along w/ velcro. You need to install in warmer weather or use a hairdryer to heat up the top the first time you install. Took a bit of strength to get it secured the first time, but I'm 60 so maybe that's the main problem lol.
FWIW the fit and quality is top notch, I've seen a couple other covers and this one is the best I've seen in that regard.
