A couple of weeks ago my dash lit up like a Christmas tree couldn’t shift and it was idling awful. I ordered and changed the two canbus connectors behind glove box but I’m still getting the awful “A!”. Any recommendations? Not having ess doesn’t bother me just hate having a dash light on

Take it to someone that has the ability to diagnosis it and not just throw parts at it?

Thanks never thought of that. The canbus fixed everything except the “a!” Light so I guess my “parts throwing” wasn’t too bad of an idea.

i don't find it to be that tough of a crowd. i take issue when members join a day, a week, a month before and then dont want to hear anything other than what they want to hear. not to mention the e-torque technically doesnt have ESS, but thats a rabbit hole of terminology etc and a different technology.

edit: you obviously know the difference, i was referencing OP.

The A! light is your auto stop. This is throwing parts at it, but it's probably your batteries getting weak. Weak batteries can cause all kinds of weird shit to happen. Had a car one time that was dead. We jumped it, and the battery was so weak that the wipers turned on for no reason and couldn't get them to quit. Finally did after it was charged up enough.

Get that 12v AGM checked. If it's the original battery it's at the end of its lifespan. Probably what lit up your dash in the first place.

What does the stop/start menu screen in the gauge cluster say for why it's not ready?
