I have always purchased my previous Jeeps new off the lot or even used private party but we are wanting a 2024 and plan to order it how we want it.

When using one of the recommended dealers mentioned on here in the spreadsheet is it as simple as just sending them the model we want with a list of the option codes we have chosen?

I went to the build & price and spec'd out the model I wanted. When done, at the bottom, there is a summary that allows you to download a pdf. I did that (although I had to hit print and save as pdf instead for some reason) and just sent the pdf to 2 different dealers who both replied back w/ pricing and a pdf of an easy order sheet showing my configuration.

As other's stated, it's that easy. The dealer will put it into their ordering system and it will show invoice and MSRP. The dealer will typically then handwrite your below invoice price. You'll exclaim, "Holy sh*t, no way" then place the order. You'll wait 8 - 11 weeks and pick up your new Jeep. You'll never buy off the lot again, and you'll kick yourself for overpaying so many times in the past. In fact, you'll save so much money and time that your wife may kick you too.

If you haven't yet, check out the order guide that gets posted on here. Not only does it give you the invoice pricing, there may be some issues on the build and price site that keep you (or allow you to) from adding specific options.

I did the same as mpc11 and sent the PDF to 3 dealers in the Southeastern US and then Gupton in TN got my business because they were the lowest price and quickest estimated delivery. Good luck with your purchase.

1. Configure your vehicle...save it as a pdf
2. Send a request for quote to Granger
3. Use the Granger quote as a benchmark for your other quotes (that may be more local to you)...or just order from Granger

I'm not sure that I'd include quickest estimated delivery when selecting a dealership. That'd be pretty easy for them to fudge.

Well if my delivery is less than 12 to 16 weeks which is what the the other 2 dealers said then I will kindly let you know. I was told by my dealer that there new Jeeps are delivered by truck to the dealership instead of by train. Is it ok to add that to my decision making?

Assuming no train or truck driver strikes, of course!

And in my case, go back to the build page and add more sh!t!

I did a online build my Jeep. Just to get prices. You can actually order it there but. I would sit down with a dealer and be sure it is exactly the way you want it. I would shop it around to a few dealers. If you live close to Tennessee Gupton is a good dealer

If there isn't a dealer in TX I highly recommend Gupton. The wait was long but when I flew in everything was as ordered. I wrote a check and was done in an hour including a quick for them to fill it up.
Go onto the Jeep site and configure exactly what you want. Use that to send to whatever dealer.

Well Gupton came through. Their delivery estimate was 8 to 10 weeks and it arrived yesterday which was 9 weeks. So looks like in my case including the Gupton stated delivery time worked in my favor and was a good tip for prospective buyers. The ironic thing is I used your spreadsheet to find Gupton as a prospective dealer in the South Eastern US so thanks for the spreadsheet info.
