Always a lurker here, but finally decided you guys needed to know about the issues I have had and my experiences since I am starting to see these issues pop up in Jeep forums around. I have a 2020 Wrangler JL Sahara High Altitude that I bought off the showroom in July 2020. One and only owner...
After being told I’d have to wait a year in Colorado to get my Z96 recall done, I took matters into my own hands.
Here are the part numbers needed to complete the work according to 2 dealers.
First 3 I found in store.mopar.com
68631088AA Pump $631
68211320AA Tube gasket $2.42
68211212AA...
Hello All,
Several months agon I bought a used 2021 JLU Sport S with an EcoDIesel. I got it from a non Jeep dealer with a lift and tires installed. There was also a Tazer mini installed. I did not think anything of it as all current recalls were up to date and the vehicle history was not...
I have a 2022 Gladiator Rubicon Ecodiesel with stock wheels & suspension (BF Goodrich AT tires) and I'm not getting very impressive MPG. I average 21-22 mpg on the highway. I've seen a lot of people online with the same car getting high 20's. I'm trying to figure out if there's something...
My favorite Jeep continues to hurt me. Not really looking for advice. Just commiseration, and get the issues out there into the Jeep-world ether.
Our '21 JLURD went back into the shop on September 16 for some hardware the dealer failed to reinstall with the engine oil leak repair 18 months ago...
So I was watching a YouTube video from The Story Til Now on their recent Rubicon Trail trip. In that video a JLUR EcoDiesel broke their fuel filter cap by shearing a bolt on the skid plate when they hit a rock. I do some hard trail riding and it was enough to concern me. The stock skid plate...
Got my 21 ecodiesel rubicon back in december of 21 with 5 miles on it. Put 3,500 miles on it all stock everything, loving everything about it. Never a single issue or vibration. I put a 3.5" metalcloak game changer lift and some 37x13.50 Nitto ridge grapplers with some kmc 17" rims. Had a local...

From what I’ve read, and I know this isn’t a breakthrough as I’ve seen several people here mention it, the main problem with this engine that reduces its lifespan has to do with the CP4.2 HPFP and its design requiring...
If you didn’t know MRTuning is bench flash only tuning EcoDiesels in Canada, and through (I believe it’s) EcoDiesel Owners Canada, you can send them your ECU and they’ll tune it (Stage 1 - emissions in tack for now) you can check EcoDiesel Owners Canada’s Facebook page to see it.
This brings me...
I have a 21 JLURD with 6,200 miles on it. It has the automatic transmission.
I've noticed a chirping noise related to the speed of the engine. It's becomes noticeable just above idle. The sound has become louder and louder over the past several months.
The chirping noise reminds me of the...

First, an introduction. My name is Matt. I currently live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, but I consider Colorado my home. I’m a military brat and military veteran, so I’ve lived and traveled in many places. I love the mountains, and I can’t imagine living anywhere...
Bill has the 2nd Jeep JLU EcoDiesel that we've modified this week. He made the trip down from Sedona and had the Jeep delivered to our shop directly by the Jeep dealership.
As we posted earlier in the week, the diesel JL requires different front coil springs in order to compensate for the added...
I have been on here since 2017 waiting for the eco diesel to be released. I ordered my Jeep back on 14 Oct and took delivery 24 March My upgrade list will grow as I update, for fun my son and I will also be adding more photos of the build and adventures on (@that_punkn_diesel) if you wish to...
I’m trying real hard to find peace with soot. Diesel still a mystery in many ways. I’m thinking that removal of the EGR periodically for cleaning will help prolong the life of the engine. Deletion is not an option and just letting it accumulate seems senseless.
Video brings up good points...
My wife has told me, "Go find an Ecodiesel Sport for my daily driver." (I'm stuck driving the Sahara for another year until the ecodiesel Gladiators hit the showroom floors).
My search is coming up zero :( Anybody have recommendations on where I should look?
When the 3.0L V-6 EcoDiesel was released, we learned that - unlike its 3.6L V6 Pentastar and 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder brethren - its air filter box is on the left-hand side of the engine bay. That means that current snorkel offerings for the gassers won't fit the diesel.
For those of you who own...
