The factory tow-package radiator fan is definitely sufficient when run at high enough RPM. It's shocking how fast coolant temp drops from 220° F to well below 200° F when fan speed is 100%

Various levels of fan control are available via Tazer, JScan, and RpmExtreme PWM Fan Controller.

Ultimately the fan controller at the moment is the best choice however being 300+ bucks and requiring splicing into the main harness is a huge turn off for me. I’d rather just tune the ECU when that ability becomes available to us.

The problem is mainly when the fan kicks into high gear. It doesn’t really get going till 195 and doesn’t operate at 100 percent until 225+ which I think is a bit too late

It’s only temporary and time limited on JScan and tazer
JScan has a configurable timeout with a maximum of 255 seconds.

Tazer Cooldown Mode runs until switched off, but shouldn't be left on too long because of the amount of current required for 100% fan speed.

Yea I just hate watching the temperature bounce around. And we use our jeep as a prerunner so it’s being used out in Havasu in 115°. So some of these short term solutions I’m sure work if you’re crawling. But doing 40+ bombing through the desert, watching the temp jump to 240° and then back to 190°. Is just frustrating knowing it doesn’t need to.

Run the AC at the same time. Sounds dumb but it kicks the fans on earlier and stays running and keeps things a bit cooler.

You're a good candidate for the RpmExtreme PWM Fan Controller.

Yea I think that’s my next step. I wanted to do a tuner but it seems like most options are $1000plus. Just wishing there was a simpler bolt on option.

We went in trail tested those last night and yes running the AC does help brought us down from 225 to 210

Glad you were able to confirm doing something cool vs where I tested it, which was sitting in traffic 😂😂

I use the tazer feature to turn it on at 100%. The longest I've kept it on is probably 15 minutes and it didn't time out.
