Get side steps or rock rails. They'll cut down about 95% of that mess, plus they're guaranteed to reduce door dings from parking lot @ssholes by 95% also.
I have a rubicon and decided to remove my rock rails and replace it with mopar side steps. Reason; #1 wife has a bad knee. #2 tired of the rocks, pebbles, mud, and road crap hitting my door hinges/dinging my fenders. #3 Really helps keeping the crap and snow off the side of the jeep. I do not rock climb, but I do go into fields and wooded trails. The side steps help a lot with the issues the OP is describing.

I bought these for $27.
They are near copies of the Mopar ones, even have the mopar part numbers embossed on them.
They help keep the crap off the doors and stuff.

Yes, they are for the JL regardless of how bad this ad shows "compatibility"

Plenty of room and 350k will get you a long way here still. Don’t wait too long as others are starting to catch on lol when that happens everything goes up!

Also every 3rd vehicle here is a Jeep

This was my view last night and this morning! Super cold out 71 degrees. Albeit it did drop a little a few nights ago into the 60’s.

It's like a larger scale Key West without the freaky celebrations lol

Everyone is laid back, no drama and a tremendous amount of Jeeps.

Alright, Morton. I have been to St. Augustine with my Son few years back. It is a beautiful place. Are you taking the photo from Apartment or Condo or Resort by the beach? That is the bomb of a photo. My Wife drooled over the Moonlight on the ocean. Understand I woke to 22 degrees here this morning. :swear::like::jk:

They just built a new Embassy Suites (Hilton) on the Island (St Augustine Beach) just across from SaltLife on the ocean side next to the St Augustine Beach pier.

My wife and I had a staycation for our anniversary. It was a great 11 mile away get-away lol

EDIT:
Guy Harvey just had a resort built down the street as well :)

I too have a Rubicon and was going to put the Mopar steps on for the same reason, after crap along the side of my Ruby in MN winter. However, I picked up rock crawling and so instead put on Deegan 38 steel sliders/steps that have a similar coverage for the side of the car, plus help protect it off road and make getting up in the lifted Jeep easier. (My profile pick to the left is before either mod was on.)

Just over a month ago my wife had a similar problem where enough slush & snow ended up on the sides of the doors to freeze the doors closed (she needed help getting them open). Our solution was to add the Roam frame mounted rock rails (a.k.a. side steps, see other posts). Based on mud patterns since the installation, they keep the majority of road debris off the sides of the JLU-R. They also have what I consider an added benefit of keeping most car doors from contacting the side of our car. Now if only she would consent to taking it off road...

I spent all last week out in the field with lows from 26 to 36... and on the 36 degree day it was raining
