  1. JL drivers... what do you use your factory AUX switches for? Give me ideas, baby!!

GMRS & CB radio on one dual stage ARB air compressor on the other high amps one a lighted whip (which has a remote control) rear lights My other items are on my switch Voswitch panel on the dash, including winch in/out, winch master power, fender light bar, fender cube lights, rock lights, and...
  2. This is what holds the spare.

Yes, not much, so you should upgrade if you upsize your tires. I have this: https://teraflex.com/jl-alpha-hd-adjustable-spare-tire-mount-kit-w-brake-light-camera-mounts-5x5.html
  3. Stolen 2021 JLURD

Wow, you better be sure these ideas don't backfire on the owner or guests. Legality is a whole other issue.
  4. Don’t use passenger side grommet to get wires through firewall!

Mine is still working, despite having taking my ARB electrical wires under the body but above the frame, right by where the fuel line is factory-routed.
  5. JLUR KC PRO6 LIGHT BAR & RUGGED RIDGE AmFib SNORKEL QUESTION

Those are the exact same 2 I am looking at, but am leaning towards the Westin since it has the light bar lower (I have parking garage clearance issues - only a few inches to spare on my 3" lift and 35s). The Quadratec would be easier to not mount the A pillar bracket on the snorkel side...
  6. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

Read higher up in the discussion where Clay has the parts posted on a 3D printer website. You can have them made by various companies directly from there - that's what I did, since my 3D printer couldn't handle the right type of material (remember it's hot under an engine).
  7. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

Yes, I DO very much like your less obstructed air flow here. However, I have yet to have a problem in 8 or so months of running it with those. I also use a cyclone intake instead of the ram scoop. I just remember how hard it was to set the rivets when I installed my hood lock, that I try to...
  8. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

It's been a while since I mounted mine, but there were some screws - but the annoying part is you have to take the door handles off to mount them. There is also some foam to supposedly help make a seal, although I am doubtful how well that works (haven't tested it yet). So, you could take them...
  9. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel kit installed

Yes, I was wondering why the rivets. My 3D printed parts I had made in Mexico for that $80 fit perfectly, although 1 of the 4 was so tight I had to sand it a little bit to fit (the instructions were exactly correct on what to specify on how to make them on infill, etc). There is a lip that...
  10. Don’t use passenger side grommet to get wires through firewall!

On the ARB power wires, I followed the ARB or JK Innovations bracket instructions (one of those) and drilled a hole under the seat (use a drill depth stop - don't nearly puncture your fuel line!!) and ran it underneath the body but above the frame instead of going through the grommet. It was...
  11. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

Thanks again to @partclay ! I bet that was cheaper to do than the $80 I paid to have them made in Mexico. My 3D printer only did PLA, so no way I'm putting that in an automotive application.
  12. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

The scratches down the side of my Jeep are a key reason I had wanted core or now those Element/trail doors (although now I am worried about how well it will hold back muddy water on trails; another benefit is no glass now except the windshield). Trails were not well maintained in 2020, and now...
  13. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

I should just note for everyone the doors are a LOT heavier now with the enclosures than when they were just tubes (not as much as factory doors though); just FYI in case the factory doors were a challenge. Still very easy to just pop these on the hinges.
  14. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Just ordered some adhesive vehicle seal on Amazon for $8; doesn't look exactly like Bestop's but similar enough I hope.
  15. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Yes, I already had the JK mirrors on when it was just the tube doors. I put that over the included screws for the enclosures - it's not completely flush fit for those mirrors, but is close enough. If you're not using mirrors, don't the enclosure screws stick out in to the cab area? Seems like...
  16. Bestop Element Doors with Enclosures

Thanks for posting pics! I put mine together, but had not put them on the Jeep yet. I had put the weatherstrip seal around the outside as the manual showed, but it was not long enough to go all the way up - sounds like I will have some 'fun' with the fit and may have to buy some additional seal.
  17. Let us hear that you want Core Doors!

Did you ever receive your enclosures? I ordered mine and got them but I am waiting on the Element doors to be shipped and there is no ETA on the rear doors. The fronts were in stock but haven't shipped yet. Yes, I received them. I have not installed them yet.
  18. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

I used 3M black strip caulk to seal this gap, per another forum on this.
  19. Rugged Ridge JL/JT Snorkel Gasket Gap Issue

use the 3d printed parts in this or another forum to reinforce the clamp areas - working for me so far
