Great, thanks. Does the LPX code only need to be done once and cover all LED lights. For example, I’ll have headlights next week but not DRL and fogs. If the code is added now will the DRLs work when I plug them in, or need another flash? Thanks
I don't know about the codes. I have a Tazer and had to change the settings for the turn signals to LED and to change the headlights to LED. Maybe someone else can help you with the dealer experience.

I believe that the LPX is only for the headlights. They will need to add the fog lights, taillights and front turn signals separately.

I just finished this upgrade today. I used my tazer to turn everything on until I get to the dealership to have it flashed. I inserted the pins as shown in the instructions. Just be mindful that the instructions are showing you the view from the side that you insert the pins into. It took me a few minutes of studying the diagram to make sure that I had it right before I actually put them in the plug. The hardest part of the whole install was getting the BCM unplugged and then plugged back in. I found that for me I layed across the driver's seat and console with my head down in the passenger floorboard. In that position I was able to put one arm through the hole for the glovebox to reach the top of the BCM and the other hand from underneath. After I figured that out I was able to get the plug out pretty quickly. Hopefully this helps someone else who may be getting ready to do this upgrade.

(warning, venting rant ahead) ... the trick was to run a coat hanger through the grommet from the OUT side... and then, long basketball arms where barely able to unplug the connector, before fingers realized that re-seating was very much NOT possible ... fortunately the neighborhood garage wasn't busy and towed it in, and did in MINUTES what took me hours ... Clearly grommet designed NOT for servicing, and (don't get me started on) picture instructions clearly showing puncturing grommet from inside - not likely, at least with 4cyl loaded turbo, initially not having a coat hanger and instead using a sharp implement (of destruction) upon concluding this instruction could turn out VERY badly (with all the wires encased there) declaring that would be a most excellent, even genius, spot to design in a dedicated access grommet / hole (for people like me that shouldn't be playing with sharp tools in the first place) - not to mention the aforementioned instructions would have appreciated calling for whatever gauge wire a COAT hanger might be, or even let's just call it by the technical tool name - "Coat Hanger", instead of a picture pushing sharp implements thru the main wire-way, i digress ... still need to get the code loaded and the lights aligned, but need to get away from paranoia thinking how bad it could've turned out to be, shudder the thought, in the end, fortunately and most importantly, all's well that ends well :) (although have promised to never go anywhere near that grommet and bcm ever again) :)

Just to make you feel better, I had the same issue with the BCM, and had to have it towed to the dealer (though tow was covered by Jeep ;-))!

I have bought the paintable high-top fender flares with LED’s. Installed and had Champion Jeep in Athens, AL add the sales code For Halloween. Works perfectly. Adding the headlights for Thanksgiving. I would suggest doing a few upgrades at once to prevent reoccurring sales code charges. For example, I added the high top flares, 33” tires, 8.4” infotainment center, trailer tow kit, and the aux switches with chrome bezel with one charge for all sales codes to be added. Next is remote start, proximity locks, and heated leather seats.

Same question here. I don't have a taser. I had the dealer install the LED headlights and LED foglights. I already had the LED taillights from the factory (part of safety package). The halos on the dealer-installed headlights work as DRLs, and the non-LED fender lights are now on as DRLs too when the Halos are on. I had no DRLs before the dealer install of headlights and fog lights. I believe this is all expected. So - wondering what happens if I add the LED fender lights myself. I suspect it needs a BCM flash as suggested by others. I've also read other threads (e.g. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/bcm-oem-codes-and-programming.35331/#post-846862) noting that although the dealers have codes for the LED headlights and fog lights, they don't have them for the fender DRLs. I will check with the dealer on Monday, since this post -- https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/fo...factory-upgrade-kit.31897/page-25#post-891601 -- suggests otherwise. P.S. After the dealer install of the above, the "YOUR VEHICLE EQUIPMENT" page of the My Jeep app now shows:

DEALER
- Front LED Fog Lamps
- LED Reflector Headlamps

as expected, and they work great. Cost a small fortune but I'm happy with them.

The way the system is designed you should be able to just swap the fender halogen lights out with LED’s and drive. I haven’t heard of anyone having to get re-flashed in order for any added LED to work properly. I started with the paintable LED high top fender flares upgrade, trailer tow harness, AUX switches w/ chrome bezel, and 33” tire upgrade. Next is the headlights and fog lights. After that is the 2” Mopar lift.

I have a 2018 Sport S.
For the Mopar LED headlight kit, as long as you wired it up correctly (followed the written directions, as the diagram i the instructions is misleading), and, you had the dealer update the code that is provided in the instructions. It should work. If it is not working, it is the wiring or the code.

For the LED fender, you will have problems. There is no wiring change that needs to be made. The problem is he code to enable them. Jeep will not provide MOPAR with the code to enable the LEDs.

In both cases. a Tazer JL will update the computer to work. For the headlights, you can have the dealer do it, or use the Tazer. For the LED fenders, the Tazer JL will make them work properly.

Got my headlights installed and BCM wired yesterday, took about 4 hours total with help from this thread...my hands are still sore today. Already installed LED fogs, LED DRL arrive today. I have an appointment Tuesday morning to get the sales code added. I have a 2018 JLUR. Does the LPX code work for all the lights, or does the dealer need other codes for the fogs and DRL? Thanks

As far as understand from reading and talking to two different dealerships there is only one sales code. I installed the LED high top fender flares on my ‘18 Sahara. Had the dealer put the sales code in. They work fine for a couple hours, then one or both turn signals stop working. I had another dealership address the turn signal out and it worked fine for a couple hours. I may try the Tazer JL.

That doesn’t sound promising. Anyone else have that issue with the DRL?

There are at least two codes needed.
To enable the Halo's and LED headlights, the code is LPX. This is documented in the instructions that come with the headight kit.
To get the LED fenders to work correctly, there is another code. Jeep will not give that code to Mopar. Therefore, your dealer cannot "officially" get the code.
From what I have read in forums, that code should be LMX.

There may be a separate code to enable the DRLs, or the LMX code may also do it,

What I do know is the Tazer JL can enable all three functions. I had the dealer add LPX to mine when they installed the LED headlamps. I used the Tazer to make the LED fender lights work and get the DRLs to work. This is on a 2018 Sport JLU.

I read that the DRL won’t work with the Sport, not sure about the Sahara. What about Rubicon? Anyone with a Rubicon get them working? If not, I’ll have to buy a tazer and cancel my dealership appointment. Thanks
