Ok...so you've bought a JLU with the cloth interior. No folding down backseat armrest with cup holders for you.

Can anyone suggest a good aftermarket armrest that goes in the middle back seat--maybe which safety belts in, that provides a place for the arm, maybe a small compartment to store odds and ends, as well as having a cup holder or two?

(Black please, to match the interior.)

Thanks.

JLU (i.e. 4 door) owners...about what's the size of the rear seat when measured from its back seat cushion to the point going forward where the seat ends? This ties into my prior question on aftermarket rear seat armrests for cloth JL owners lacking the armrest built in by FCA. I'm looking to get one that is not too long for my upcoming JLU order.

Thanks.

I can tell you that being in the second trimester of my order isn't fun...
Look---the morning sickness...it goes away, and rarely happens on the second baby---baby of course here being a Wrangler--not one of those "infant things." ;)

Keep some graham crackers and ginger ale in your bag. Some say It helps with the nausea.

The only nausea I had was trying to deal with Jeep chat. That’s all gone now that I’m relying on @JAY , @JLWF Dealer Guy & everyone here for my info!! ;) Now I’m dealing with cravings! Rims, tires, lights....I just can’t stop searching & drooling & wanting it all!!!

Babies are expensive... the more they grow up, the more they cost! But its life, and its fun... and I wouldn't have it any other way!

Jeep Chat:

Me:

"My dealer says he can't order the Soft Top Bag on the all new 2018 JL Wrangler with any order that also includes a Soft top purchase."

Some of the responses I've literally received:

* "Which Cherokee are you interested in?"
* That's a dealer issue we don't get involved in. (No--its your ordering system FCA).

Then, when I'm understood:

* Check the ordering system frequently. Options are always changing. (I've made it very clear that I am a consumer, not a dealer. Do you plan on granting me access to the ordering system, and is "check frequently...options are always changing" codespeak for "eventually we'll fixed the bug in the ordering system."

Then better, but still ridiculous, as they can test their own ordering system:

"I'm calling the dealer for you, can you wait?" Said after disbelief.

5 minutes...10 minutes

"I'm going to escalate this problem for you sir."

2 days later a case manager calls. Problem solved.

If it's any consolidation I asked the rep who put me on hold while she called the dealer if I could type out the theme to the TV show Jeopardy while I waited--you know--some background music...

"Da-de-da-da-da-da-da.....Da-de-da-da-dat!......de..da...da..da..da";)

Don't I know it. They get older, the take on no jobs hauling others stuck in the mud, they sit in front of the TV all day, don't get a garage of their own, and have their girlfriend Jeeps move into their (my) garage with them!

OK, great (sarcasm). I'm reading in another post that the hood alarm may not work. Has anyone found an existing aftermarket hood lock compatible with the JL yet?

Went with this: https://www.kolpin.com/bench-center-console

I like that has no vinyl or leather exterior to clash with cloth seats and that you can safety belt it in.

.....always nice for things in vehicle to not become projectiles if one has to stop short

The black grill inserts on the rubicon, are they gloss or more flat/matte?
