Well you can add me to the “crackpot” camp as well. I try to view my surroundings a lot less one dimensionally.

Nick, I’m used to people calling me a crackpot over the Bigfoot thing. I TOTALLY get it. I expect NOBODY to believe unless they have seen for themselves. I have been eyeball-to-eyeball with it.

I will check out the scaffold; thanks! I may also start a new thread if I can link an Animal Planet vídeo with the aforementioned interview, re-enactment, argument.
I'm intrigued... I've not had an encounter and am a hopeful skeptic on the topic. I have developed an addiction to listening to eyewitness account interviews while falling asleep. Have you been interviewed on one of the countless podcasts dedicated to letting eyewitnesses tell their story? PM me if so, I would love to give a listen knowing a fellow jeeper is telling the story!

I was interviewed on a podcast, but I don’t remember which one. It was a female who interviewed me. I’ve been interviewed on local news as well.

Here is a link to the thread I started. You will find a link to the excerpt of the Animal Planet show I was on. https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/me-on-animal-planet.35887/#post-808975

If you remember the podcast let me know. Thanks for the thread!
It was an interview with Skyla Ballard. I cannot find the clip; don’t think I ever listened to it, frankly. If you find it, please let me know!

Great question! We have considered it. Unfortunately though anything like that, unless I build it myself with poles buried beneath the water line and double hurricane strapping, turn into potentially deadly shrapnel, so we’ve shied away from it.

The structures you see in the pictures - I built them (except for the house). I know they look like crap, but because of my construction methods they have withstood countless storms, including hurricane force winds twice - once for over twelve hours. NONE of them have ever had to be repaired, and they are all about 20 years old. It’s expensive to build like I do, but I don’t want to find that a neighbor has been decapitated by a piece of one of my structures.

If I can get my wife to allow me to throw about $1000 at it, I WILL build a carport. I’ve been trying for years LOL

Well, you do have point about the Winds and Storms. Make it a point to bring her flowers 2 times a week. Leave Andes Mint on her Pillow at night. Rub her feet while watching ya'lls favorite shows. Draw her a Hot Bath one night with a Bath bomb from Bath & Body Works store. Cook her dinner a few times a week and then ask her for the Money to Improve your auto issue with the elements. Oh, include her auto too. :please::fingerscrossed::champagne:

At our age, cut flowers = “They’re beautiful but will die!”
Live flowers = “Thanks for bringing me something else to care for.”
Andes Mints = “Are you trying to make me fat?”
Bath bomb = “How many people die a year from bath salts?”
Cooking her dinner = “What is it you want this time?”
;)

GOOD LUCK JEFF !!!! :LOL::handsinair:
With all due respect my friend, you and your wife live in the ‘burbs. My wife and I live in a FL swamp, with 9 months of heat index in the 100’s, daily humidity thicker ‘n slug snot, skeeters that will choke you at night if you don’t cover your cake hole...and everything else I described in previous posts. We’ve lived out and about here for bout 38 years. It takes a woman meaner than a wet panther, a woman tough as woodpecker lips to put up with this. And trust me, there ain’t no lipstick on them woodpecker lips.

Hell, she came up to me t’other night totin’ a snake longer ‘n she is tall - and she was grinnin’ like a mule eatin’ briars. She’s so tough Chuck Norris uses her picture to describe “tough.”

What do you get for a woman like that, besides a wide berth? ;)
