Added PRP Seat Covers. These things look fantastic!

I am really impressed on how FCA managed to make the JL's interior feel high quality yet somewhat luxurious while still resembling simple and functional. But I felt the black interior was just too much black, making individual details irrelevant because it was so dark. So I went with the gray tweed to lighten the cabin, bringing more contrast between the fabric elements and the hard elements. Combined with the body colored dashboard, the interior feels much more balanced. It's mature, pleasing and cheery. Every detail seems more noticeable now that there is separation between the colors and textures.

Was it just plug and play or did you change your amp too? I have the alpine as well, I love it with the top up but with top down and doors off not so much. I was thinking of doing a swap with JL audios as their stuff is top of the line. The alpine sub I really like and wouldn’t touch
Simple plug and play, even the connectors for the positive and negative are matched. Probably take you all of 5 minutes to remove the old and replace the new.

Drove it 6 hours to TN today on family vacation. Ready to send over cliff with it’s pathetic steering. Exhausting to drive.
You get used to it, kinda.

Have you tried going over 45? I’m using the hinge mounted now and they work but vibrate like crazy. Can you still use the grab handles as well?
I mounted them at the lowest part of the grab bar and you still can get to them. Based on what I've seen I think they would be great on the high way. Unfortunately, here in NJ the weather is so inconsistent and it's my DD I had to put the doors back on. My thought is that they are made for a ATV/UTV which are basically smaller jeeps that never see pavement so the should be good! LOL

So the 3.5 inch replace the top dash speakers. What about the knee speakers and overhead bar speakers?

I assume you need the wiring adapters for each speaker....If I end up doing this, then I will replace all of the factory speakers..

Based on another member’s post, I added vinyl to the top portion of the rear doors to try to prevent dog nail scratches. I chose carbon fiber look because of all the vinyl in my 3M sample book, the carbon fiber resisted scratches the best.

How did it hold up with the pup this weekend? I can't find the other member's post that talks about this. Where did you purchase the vinyl? Do you think it would work on the door armrest as well?

Stunning! I love it! Those seats are beautiful and the yellow stitching is a perfect complement to the interior. Well done.

I also really like the yellow dash. Did you do that yourself or have it done?

I haven’t tested it out yet, but it’ll most likely be sacrificial, requiring periodic replacing. I saw no claw marks on the armrest, so didn’t bother, but the armrest is not a hard surface, so vinyl isn’t going to stick very well.

I bought 1’x5’ of this stuff off eBay: 3M 1080 CFS12 CARBON FIBER BLACK Vinyl Vehicle Car Wrap Decal Film Sheet Roll

Yes, this is a 3.5 inch speaker, and there are four 3.5 inch speakers in the JL, two in the top dash, and two in the roll bar. Then, there are 4 inch speakers also in the roll bar, I haven’t done anything with those yet, and there are the two speakers in the kick panel of the dash, down below. I haven’t done anything with those either.
