I have the alpine system and did the same swap. Yes they do make a difference. Im not saying leaps and bounds, but for the price of a pair of them you cant go wrong.
Was it just plug and play or did you change your amp too? I have the alpine as well, I love it with the top up but with top down and doors off not so much. I was thinking of doing a swap with JL audios as their stuff is top of the line. The alpine sub I really like and wouldn’t touch

Installed a set of ATV mirrors I got for 34.00 each off amazon. Work perfect and mount nicely on the grab handle

Have you tried going over 45? I’m using the hinge mounted now and they work but vibrate like crazy. Can you still use the grab handles as well?

The stock ones are horrible. I see your a Mojito as well. I put the JL Audio ones in. So much better.

I painted my grills to match. Just Incase you wanted another project.

@Bskylerj Do you have the JL Audio speaker model #s? Can you really tell a difference with the stock radio and no amp?

Installed Warn Zeon 10-S using Maximus-3 mount into Rubi steel bumper. What an ordeal!! Took me probably 8 hours total. Love that the Jeep engineers added a spare positive post (at the battery connection) for winches. However, NOT impressed with the screws that hold the air filter box top on, the heads will get stripped within the first couple uses.

While the winch install was a pain, I do like the end result.

Another weekend project in the books....Installed the red dash Shoutout to @ShockerRacing for the how to vid. Was able to swap in just over an hour and managed to only lose one clip!

Drove it 6 hours to TN today on family vacation. Ready to send over cliff with it’s pathetic steering. Exhausting to drive.

Added PRP Seat Covers. These things look fantastic!

I am really impressed on how FCA managed to make the JL's interior feel high quality yet somewhat luxurious while still resembling simple and functional. But I felt the black interior was just too much black, making individual details irrelevant because it was so dark. So I went with the gray tweed to lighten the cabin, bringing more contrast between the fabric elements and the hard elements. Combined with the body colored dashboard, the interior feels much more balanced. It's mature, pleasing and cheery. Every detail seems more noticeable now that there is separation between the colors and textures.

Yes huge difference. The JL Audio C2’s In 3.5” and 4”.

I’m going to be adding an amp and subs.

Installed a matte vinyl hood blackout from @pixeldecals a couple weeks ago but took my time forming an opinion about it. Verdict: I love it!

Some people have said these blackout decals make the glare worse. I don't agree but I believe I understand why they say that. The matte vinyl will diffuse the light across its surface. If you look directly at the hood then this could seem like it's brighter than the hood is without the blackout. However the blackout prevents light from focusing and reflecting directly into your eyes giving you a blinding glare or hot spot while looking at the road, so it's working exactly as I hoped it would.

Another great feature of the pixeldecals blackout is that the vinyl goes completely under the windshield tie down brackets for an extremely clean look. Most hood blackouts have holes cut out around the tie downs. That wouldn't be as noticeable on a granite or black Jeep but would make a big difference on most other colors. Having the vinyl go under the tie downs does complicate the installation quite a bit as you need to remove the tie downs by first pulling the hood insulation off, and that stuff is pretty fragile and prone to tearing and held on by several clips, but it is definitely worth it.

Simple plug and play, even the connectors for the positive and negative are matched. Probably take you all of 5 minutes to remove the old and replace the new.
