Just for the heck of it, I asked JC for a status update. It's now in KZ. Approved for shipment but shipping arrangements have not been completed. However, it's still not showing "FOUND" for my sticker and I haven't received an email. I wonder when that happens.
Congratulations!! You made the first page! Hopefully you will driving your new Jeep very soon!

I got a call yesterday afternoon from the dealership and said the vehicle should be in by July 10th. They also asked me to come down and do all the financing and paperwork tomorrow, so come delivery day, I just have to swing down and pick it up. They'll also be taking in my trade and giving me a loaner for the next 2 weeks. Part of me wonders if they're doing things this way because it's the end of the month and they want this sale to count...and they can probably flip my trade-in over the July 4th weekend?

Has anybody else done it this way? It feels really weird signing on a new car, sight-unseen. He did say if there were any problems with it when it comes off the truck, I can still refuse it...but still.

I would personally wait until the vehicle is there, just to verify it's exactly how you speced it out to be. That's just me though. The $1k deposit the dealer required to order it is all they'll get from me until I inspect the Jeep myself.

Did the dealership cash your check you wrote for the deposit? In Iowa, by law, (or so I'm told) they have hold onto it until the Jeep is physically on the lot.

I'm not sure how that's possible w/ Jeep Chat. You provide the VIN or VON. Jeep Chat simply runs the status update for that VIN.
I've been using another VIN service. I'll get my act together!

That's kind of what I was thinking too. I'll perhaps go down there and talk to them about it, but deliberately leave my trade-in's title at home - that way they can't try the whole, "well you're here now..."

Thanks

I now have a build list with all the proper information. It looks like my Wrangler is going to be awesome!
