Oh, there's so much improvement that could be done...

- Offering a package that allows you to drive the Jeep out of the plant during the final stage of production. That'll cost the owner, but will nix the destination charge, as well.
- Have periodic pictures taken of your Jeep as it's being assembled. From raw materials to a finished product.
- Automation updates. That way, you don't feel guilty for asking a person at Jeep Chat.
- Graphics that show a representation of where your Jeep is in the production process... complete w/ the color/options you ordered. (If it's orange and has a painted hardtop, but black fenders, display that)
- Constant ETA updates.

Lots of things could improve this purgatory we're in waiting on it to come in.
I think they should hire you!

I also am getting more disappointed by the day as several folks on here have ordered weeks after I ordered and are preparing to take delivery or already have taken delivery. Apparently delivery to the upper Midwest takes longer than to both coasts....doesn’t make sense to me. I was invoiced and shipped a week and a half ago.
At the end of the day, it's not that big of a deal. It is simply a 1st world problem and I have to remind myself of that. Like others have said though, this ordering and waiting process has woken the kid inside of me, like a child counting down the days to Christmas.
I'm right along with both of you. Ordered 4/29 and been in Inspection status for two weeks now. What vehicle sits in Inspection for two weeks?! The worse is knowing that so many orders placed up to a month after yours are being delivered and no way to get an explanation for the delay. Just makes me feel like my order has been lost and the Jeep is just sitting in a lot somewhere. I'm sure there will be good news someday.

I haven't checked Jeep Chat since mid-last week. Got tired of hearing "It's waiting for additional packages to be installed." Since I've gotten no Sticker Found emails and it's not showing up on page 1, I'm just leaving it alone.
I was doing the same thing and felt Jeep chat may have put me some “don’t answer” list, but to my surprise it appears my Jeep is out of JB. I only say this because it says my sticker is found and I verified it is there. I just checked with Jeep chat and my Jeep has been in shipping for 2 days. Now I just have to communicate with my dealer.

As I stopped perseverating on the status it was completed ... now I have the shipping to contend with (thinking of CowGirlJeeper). This is the same recommendation I make to my single friends. When you are looking for a relationship you won’t find one, but when you aren’t you do.

Thanks to everyone’s good thoughts and I am pulling for everyone who is still waiting in JB.

Ha... I say the same thing b/c that's where I was when I met my wife. Wasn't looking and BAM! There she was and it's been awesome.

I met my wife when she was looking for a dumpster to throw out her trash on the first day she moved to the city I lived in. I was leaving for Southern California and a new job in 3 weeks. Found a new job 3 days before I was supposed to move 400+ miles away. Been married 20 years this year and have 4 kids. You never know how you will meet someone.

As Steve Martin said in LA Story “There’s someone out there for everyone – even if you need a pickaxe, a compass, and night goggles to find them.”

I met my wife when this woman at my work said she had never rode in a Jeep before...took her on a trail ride through the San Bernardino mountains in my built CJ5...and many years later, new JL (my 3rd Jeep)...but same woman! :like:

...and, to get back on thread: 5 weeks to the day, order through delivery; about 19 days was shipping time (status "WCW" = the West Coast Wait). :giggle:
