Got the Mopar 2" lift that gave me right at 3". Also got the JKS quicker disconnect sway bars. Everything looks and works great but I'm still trying to figure out how to secure it to the retention bracket since it's so far away. Guess I can use zip ties if I can't use the bracket.

All ready to go out to the Hot Spring ORV park this Sunday!
With three inches of lift your disconnects should be adjusted longer, much longer. The way you are now at full front end extension with your swaybar connected it can flip (under), which is bad news. That's also probably why you are not reaching the bracket.

Thanks for the help,
Will this be a problem while it is connected driving normal or just a problem while it is disconnected?
Sorry I am new to all of this.

No problem, happy to help. Shouldn't be a problem with normal driving unless you hit a huge hole. Off road it would only be a problem if left connected and then only in a particular type of situation, disconnected you are still good.

Awesome thanks, I'll take it back in after my trip to Arkansas this weekend.

Adjust them so that your sway bar is at least 5 degrees above horizontal when connected, i personally go further, some people say it should be the same # of inches above horizontal as the lift at the sway bar end but I don't think ot has to be that far. Also, when you are disconnected on both sides you should be able to push the sway bar up by hand, it'll be stiff, and reach your retaining mounts.

My friend and I took our Jeeps out to Big Bend National Park and did one of the Jeep "Badge of Honor" trails. It was a really easy trail, did all but one obstacle in 2wd, but it was worth it overall.

This is on my todo list later this Summer. Can't wait as I love Big Bend!

the idea is that motorcycles are too often unnoticed by drivers in cars, and allowing them to be loud would capture the attention of drivers to improved safety for motorcycle riders.
You mean the ones that flip everyone off while illegally lane splitting at 75 mph?

If you have problems getting one side reconnected after wheeling, driving the affected sides front wheel up on a rock (after connecting the other side) is your friend. Enjoy your trip!

Installed Tuffy Security Tailgate...Installation instructions kinda suck but I was also a dumbass...Took about 45 minutes because I didn't drill pilot holes...I know better!!!!

Easy 10 minute job for 2 people with good instructions (DRILL PILOT HOLES).

Solid Unit but seam gaps could be better and powder coat is jankie in a few spots (But I'm picky).

Overall very happy and would buy again.

Looks great!.... is there a vent on it somewhere, the vent for closing your doors is in the tailgate so you don’t blow out your eardrums when shutting the doors.. lol.... :)

Since changing my key fob to the AJT Designs holder, it's been an inconvenience to pop the key out of the plastic cover to lock the center console. Bought and put the Tuffy Center Console Lock Box and Bartact Center Console Cover on.

Lock box was not as difficult as people made it out to be, just put it together before you install and you'll be fine. Took me ~10 min to put it together. I did lose the ability to have my Vehicle OCD organizer though, but I would rather have a lock box for when I have my doors off.

Tuffy makes a combo lock so you don't have to use a key.

Hey that lift doesn't look half bad with the 33" tires.

I really like this solution, as opposed to others I've seen.

Do you have to drill pilot holes into the JL trunk door metal itself, or no?

Tuffy makes a combo lock so you don't have to use a key.

IMG_6757.jpg
This is exclusive to the JL? I like! Do you happen to have a link?

I love mine as well, but mine rattles. Is your door solid, or rattling?

It actually leaves a ~ 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap between the back of the Tuffy box and the vent, so your ears are safe. The bolts have spacers.
