Since changing my key fob to the AJT Designs holder, it's been an inconvenience to pop the key out of the plastic cover to lock the center console. Bought and put the Tuffy Center Console Lock Box and Bartact Center Console Cover on.

Lock box was not as difficult as people made it out to be, just put it together before you install and you'll be fine. Took me ~10 min to put it together. I did lose the ability to have my Vehicle OCD organizer though, but I would rather have a lock box for when I have my doors off.

Tuffy makes a combo lock so you don't have to use a key.

Got the Mopar 2" lift that gave me right at 3". Also got the JKS quicker disconnect sway bars. Everything looks and works great but I'm still trying to figure out how to secure it to the retention bracket since it's so far away. Guess I can use zip ties if I can't use the bracket.

All ready to go out to the Hot Spring ORV park this Sunday!
Hey that lift doesn't look half bad with the 33" tires.

Installed Tuffy Security Tailgate...Installation instructions kinda suck but I was also a dumbass...Took about 45 minutes because I didn't drill pilot holes...I know better!!!!

Easy 10 minute job for 2 people with good instructions (DRILL PILOT HOLES).

Solid Unit but seam gaps could be better and powder coat is jankie in a few spots (But I'm picky).

Overall very happy and would buy again.

I really like this solution, as opposed to others I've seen.

Do you have to drill pilot holes into the JL trunk door metal itself, or no?

Tuffy makes a combo lock so you don't have to use a key.

This is exclusive to the JL? I like! Do you happen to have a link?

I love mine as well, but mine rattles. Is your door solid, or rattling?

Looks great!.... is there a vent on it somewhere, the vent for closing your doors is in the tailgate so you don’t blow out your eardrums when shutting the doors.. lol.... :)
It actually leaves a ~ 1/2 to 3/4 inch gap between the back of the Tuffy box and the vent, so your ears are safe. The bolts have spacers.

No drilling through metal, just have to remove the plastic door card and drill through it.
Removing the door card was much simpler than I thought.

Finally. Weather that cooperated today in Iowa. 75 and sun. Got Wruby half-naked. Wife doesn’t like it when I have the back doors off and the kids in the back seat. I sneak it in when she’s not looking... lol

Anyways, also tested out my new mirror setup. Worked like a charm.

I absolutely love this vehicle. There’s just something about owning and driving a Jeep that makes me smile when I’m driving her.

I have this box, too, and find it incredibly useful. I removed the plastic liner and didn't use the spacers so it would be flush against the tailgate. I used some rubber weather seal behind the box and there are no rattles or squeaks.

Mirrors look nice, but definitely small. How's the view with them? Not a huge concern, just curious.

@Cookiedawg the answer there is NO -- it did not. Once I got my 35" spare on there, the release lever for the Backswing was positioned directly UNDER the tire :-/ We're almost out of bike season up here in MN so I'm not going to worry about this until next May, but ultimately the solution is likely going to be a 7" hitch extension.

It is now spring. Did you come up with an acceptable solution? Did you think about using the backswing upside down?

the idea is that motorcycles are too often unnoticed by drivers in cars, and allowing them to be loud would capture the attention of drivers to improved safety for motorcycle riders.
Doubt very much they put that much thought into it. After all, they are a state that passed a law that puts cancer warning labels on absolutely everything...
