2019 V6 6 speed here. Drives/steers excellent. I have the smell also but I'm sure that'll go away.

It runs good but damn these things have no torque down low in the power band. I'm disappointed. Need supercharger or a hemi swap, I suppose.
To be expected with an engine that puts out more hp than torque. You just gotta keep it wrapping, could always go 5.13

The grass is always greener on the other side. lol. Us 2.0 turbo owners have the torque down low but we don't enjoy the liner power delivery you 3.6 guys get. You would get it all with a supercharger or Hemi swap for sure. lol

I've been seeing many threads where owners talk about issues with their 2018 JL's. I know the 2019 Wranglers are only starting to come off the lot but I'm curious to hear how things are going with them! I want to hear about things I should look out for when I eventually take delivery of mine at the end of the month.
I have one of the early 2019s and the only thing I noticed is that if I leave it on in Park for too long the service start/stop comes on and it wonā€™t work until I turn off the jeep and then it back on. Other than that all good. Iā€™ll wait for my first oil change to tell them.

True. I was really tempted to go for the 2.0, but I really wanted a manual. Maybe that was a mistake, I dunno.

HAHA! That'd fix it. Well until a long highway trip.....then even 6th gear might not be enough overdrive.....

Purchased on 3/18. I have 1375 miles on her. So far so good, no issues. I have the stock 5 inch radio and think itā€™s great. Alpine has been sweet too.

My 2019 has big shoes to fill. I bought my JKU new in 2014 and had zero issues whatsoever for 5 years and 50k miles. Iā€™ll be a very happy man if my JLU rides out the same.

I'm about a year old now but only have 4500 miles and the only issues I've had at all are uconnect or android auto related. I'll probably regret posting this and everything will break tomorrow.

Finally started modding too.

Apples to oranges. You cannot compare auto to manual with different engines.

The torque converter will improve the low end. Drive a 3.6 with the auto and youā€™ll be surprised how much more torque it feels like it has compared to your manual

sometimes the volume on the 8.4 uconnect radio plays at half volume and won't turn up all the way.
sometimes my backup camera will not go off once I put it into drive
sometimes my front end sounds/feels loose when going over expansion joints

Before I bought my jeep I was afraid that it was going poorly made. I was afraid that the reviews I read on it were going to be right. Therefore, I thought I had better buy the 2019 model. Looks like I should have bought the 2020 model.

But with that being said, jeep is the only company that makes what I want, so let's pour a glass of our favorite cheap, overpriced wine, and have a toast to the companies that make shitty things we love.

My 2 month old 2019 Rubicon (3,500 miles) is having issues in the 40 - 45 mph range. It kind of shakes, sputters, kind of skips in that range.......whatever you want to call it. I cant comfortable leave it at 41 - 43 mph in 3rd. 4th is acceptable and doesn't do it as bad but 3rd is not good. I have a manual transmission so not sure why it would do this. Couple of others on here with manuals have had the same experience so Iā€™m not the only one. Automatic would be understandable as I have had a few friends have their jeeps in for issues with their automatic transmissions. If I take off pretty normal and go all the way up to 50-60 mph with no hesitation no issues at all. But most of the time I get behind someone doing exactly 40-45 mph which causes my Rubicon to jerk right around 42, shake or run rough. It's at the proper shift points so that's not the issue. I have had manuals my whole life (2017 Manual JK Sahara before this)so I know how to drive them. It just doesn't run right in the 40-45 mph range. Hums and runs like a tank on the highway 70-80 mph. Perfect from 1-35mph and 50-80mph. 40-45 in 3rd just seems to struggle to run smoothly. Went to the dealership twice and had them hook up my Rubicon to their computer and scan for any codes. Sat there with him and watched as nothing came up and everything is normal. No codes came up. So I took a sport on the lot for a test drive and it did it exactly at 45 mph in 3rd gear. Probably cuz the gearing is different between the Rubi and the Sport. The oem tune I think is too lean. Only thing I can think of. Other than that itā€™s pretty cool but just get irritated at 42mph. Might do the Superchips Flashpaq F5 tune and see if that clears it up. Iā€™ve sent them a message on it. They said they were gonna email me back and never did.

My 2 month old JLU has had many issues. The major issue is the dash telling me to pull over safely the vehicle will shut off. The dealership tried fixing this 3 times now. Hopefully it is resolved, time will tell. I have a hardtop and the back window hatch leaks everytime it rains. My center armrest console latch broke. I'm losing patience.

Agreed, I've thought of this, the auto would have made life easier but I do love this new 6 speed. I think about 4-6lbs of boost on the engine would make it the perfect package though...haha

Hi 3ply,
We regret to hear about your concerns with your new JL. Has a case been opened on the customer care side to offer additional assistance throughout this process? If not, please send our team a private message and we would be happy to get this started for you!
