Does anyone else think the rear cup holders with the leather seats are going to look weird with the center arm rest up when the top is down? Hopefully the aftermarket will come up with a cover so they blend in easily.

this is removable so no problem there, i also hope that it would be covered in a way when not in use

Good to know, that eases my worries.

Well, now that you mention it, it can look like you've taken "Wall-E" hostage and thrown him into the backseat facing backwards---

Someone on the board once mentioned that the new front bumper makes the JL look like it has a French mustache and I can't seem to get that image out of my mind either.

Hi Folks. Need a little clarity even though its very trivial in the grand scheme of things. On my JK, I usually carry 2 water bottles in my rear cupholders (Behind the center console) which leave the two front ones free for Starbucks! On the JL, I have seen rear cupholders in the same place & I have seen useless flat blocks. I have also seen the center fold down cup holders on the rear seat. I am planning on ordering a Sahara with the leather. Does that mean that I will have cupholders as a fold down on the seat and useless flat blocks on the floor? If so, what the hell is the idea with those flat blocks? Do they have a purpose?

Yes and your guess is as good as mine. A big oversight if you ask me. If somebody is sitting in the middle back seat then no cup holders at all.

I'm going to figure out a custom trash can mount for that space. I miss my little JK cup holder converter trash can... Those disc's are funny!

;)Well of course those two flat blocks where the cupholders use to be, as featured in leather seated interiors of the new JL serve a purpose Lone Eagle when the back center console can't be tipped down because someone's in that middle back seat.

They are twin swimming pools for Matt Daemon's tiny character in the movie Downsizing, or if you prefer two attachment points for the aftermarket to make a suction cup based mechanism to cover those two worthless slots with a rear cup holder device for when the middle rear console is up.

Yeesh!!

One of the pushes for me to order leather was the extra cup olders.....If I'm going to lose the two floor mounted ones I'll probably pass on the leather, as I use those all the time.
