My last Jeep vehicle (2017 GC Trailhawk) had the Off Road Pages app and it worked fine 2 years after I purchased it. It would be a bit upsetting for FCA to take it away from the Wrangler when other vehicles have it available years after purchase.

With the Wrangler, do you need to have the SiriusXM Guardian activated to receive the monthly updates? This would make sense since I don't receive it for my Wrangler and I do not have the SiriusXM Guardian activated. On the Jeep site it has always said the same thing, date/mileage (12 miles) and has never changed.

I bought the GC in Sept/16 and traded it in Oct/2018. I still received the monthly report as of Jan/2019. I removed it from My Garage on the Jeep site or I may have received it again this month. It had about 2000 more miles on it since I traded it in. I never subscribed to any service while I had the CG so I'm not sure how long I would of received those health reports for. I figured it was a 5 year thing and would most likely go away after that.

My Off Road Pages have always been available on the Wrangler (SiriusXM Guardian not activated) but I'm only on my 4th month of ownership. It's not that big of a deal for me but I do like the gauges part of that app and figured it would be there whenever I needed it. It's kind of a bummer to think it won't be.
My 16 Dodge Challenger RT with the uConnect 8.4 had what they called Performance pages. They worked without a subscription. But they also loaded instantly when the car was started. The Off Road Pages in my Jl always took around a minute to load when I started the JL after being off for awhile. It looks like the verify a subscription or something each start. Someone else posted that the ORP would not load if he was parked somewhere without cell service. But once he drove somewhere with service they would work again. That kinda confirms that they are checking something before loading.

Our Grand Cherokee Trailhawk has ORP (which are VERY similar to the Wrangler ORP) and works fine without any attachment to any Sirius subscriptions. I think someone at Jeep care has no idea what they are talking about.

I hope your right. But that doesn't explain why I lost mine the day after my Guardian services 1 year free trial expired. Plus others are having there's disappear again after having the dealer do the update per the TSB that was released in January to put them back on.

My guess is they may have a bug disguised as a feature ;)

Based on other's comments thus far about folks with other non-Wranglers having ORP working just fine without a subscription, I would be surprised if Jeep didn't correct this when the complaints start rolling in -- especially considering they're not adding any real value to warrant a subscription over the other vehicles ORP implementation.

I don’t know if this is all 100% accurate, I haven’t had an active subscription to the Guardian services in well over a month now...my ORP work just fine still

Just an FYI. I took my 18 JLUR into the Dealer 1/28/19 and had them follow the TSB to update my 8.4 uConnect to add the Off Road Pages. They worked great until this past Monday the day after my Guardian services expired and a new icon appeared saying "activate Guardian services" I emailed uConnect customer care asking if you had to have the Guardian services to have the ORP. Here is the email response I got.

Thank you for contacting Customer Care.

We are disappointed to learn of your concern with the Off Road Pages regarding your Wrangler Unlimited and I would like to assure you that I will do everything I can to assist you.

I have looked into the Off Road Pages further and have determined you are correct, you do need an active subscription with Sirius Guardian in order to be able to utilize that feature.
If you would like to resubscribe to Sirius Guardian you can do so by calling them at 844-796-4827

Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any further assistance by replying to this email or calling us at 877-IAMJEEP (877-426-5337)

Thank you again for your email Gregory. Have a great day.

Best wishes,
Jocelyn
Jeep Customer Care.

I see no reason that the ORP should be tied to a $19.95 per month SiriusXM Guardian services subscription.
Hi Greg H,

As discussed on the other thread, this information is incorrect. You do not need an active SiriusXM subscription for Off-Road Pages. As I expressed before, the message you provided has been passed internally for the representative to be corrected.

As you know, we are actively investigating your concern in private messages to have your Off-Road Pages restored. We would appreciate if you would continue working with us there. This thread is creating confusion among Jeep owners.

Thank you for your response, Darlene @JeepCares! I wasn't aware of another thread on this topic and had concerns about whether it was accurate or not. Thanks again!

I've made this argument in other threads, but I don't think ORP is actually "installed" into UConnect. I have a feeling it's either downloaded through the unit's 4G connection every time you start it up or, if it is installed, needs to phone home to verify whatever before its activated. Either way, the implementation of this app is really bad.

I have PMd jeep cares. They said they investigated this and worked with the uConnect people. They said I should not have lost my ORP and they are going to try and add them back remotely.

I called today to inquire about UConnect and Guardian. You get a full year of Guardian then must pay $20 plus a month to keep it. That’s separate from Sirius XM.

Darlene @JeepCares came thru. She investigated the issue and said the rep in Customer care gave me bad info in the email I received and I shouldn't have lost the Off Road Pages. They were able to do an over the air update to give me back the Off Road Pages. I didn't have them when I got off work but they were back when we left home to go out for dinner tonight. She didn't say why I lost them the day after my SiriusXM Guardian Service free trial ended.

Something of interest here... my 2018 JLUR was built in Feb of 2018, meaning it is a year old and I have now had it for about 11 months. I got the OTA for ORP maybe a month after they started rolling out last year. After the OTA they worked as expected for a few days. Then, all of a sudden, they quit. Instead I got a message saying "No active Subscription" yadda yadda yadda (see pic below). I wated a week and still had the same message. I called XM and they sent me to Guardian, I called Guardian and they sent me to Jeep, I called Jeep and they sent me back to Guardian again. No one knew anything about anything. They all genuinely wanted to help, but just couldn't do so because no one knew what was going on. All of my subscriptions were up to date. I finally got it resolved by talking to @JeepCares here, on this forum. They took all my info and asked me to let them know if it was not resolved with in the week. Low and behold, they began working with in the week and I have had no problems since. Obviously my Guardian subscription ends soon, if I have any further issues, I trust @JeepCares will take care of me again. All this said, there does seem to be some sort of link between ORP and XMGuardian.

I had my Guardian canceled today the 17th, this is part of the email I received from Guardian. I have not checked my ORP's yet, this however seems to answer the "vehicle health report" at least. I'll try and repost when I check the ORP's ....ahhhh when my wife lets me use the JLU, she's in love! lol

I cannot see Uconnect "connected" with SiriusXM but who the heck knows??

We have processed your request to cancel your trial of SiriusXM Guardian™ connected services for the vehicle identified below. As of your cancellation date, you will no longer have access to SiriusXM Guardian services, including SOS assistance, Stolen Vehicle Assistance, and more. However, your Uconnect® services, including Vehicle Health Report, will continue.

GO Jeep!!!
