Well for me it tends to occur when I do remote start with the fob or Uconnect app.

I’ve been driving without remote start the last few days and have had no issues which has been great.

Today while in single digits I decided I wanted my car warm before getting in and would sacrifice music this morning to work.

To my surprise no issues this morning or all day. I’ve been issue free for almost a whole week now and it’s been no warmer then 20 degrees.

It’s so frustrating cause there is no real definitive answer on why... just keeping fingers crossed it’s still software.

Well, it is in the 20's here in Minnesota will be below zero by early next week, and although I did not drive the Wrangler for a few days, the radio started cutting out again today. @JeepCares, so am calling to make another dealer appointment. Sure is frustrating.
Just as I had suspected... We are hovering at 18 Degrees here today and it's cutting in and out. I tweeted at @Jeep @uconnectcares with a video to show (no responses yet). I'll be calling our dealer on Monday to get another appointment. Keep me posted how yours is when your temp drops in Minnesota!

Has the dealer checked the Aux Battery?

I don't think so. Today, when we were out we noticed that when I shut the engine off (and the radio continues to play until I open the door), the radio starts to play normal again. Then, when I start the engine again, it starts to turn on and off.

Now, if I can time it right this week, I'm driving it directly to the dealership to have them look while it's doing it. I will mention the aux battery. Thanks.

Well, I was going to dealership today but now the system works just fine. It's 25 Degrees out today. Again...issues when the temp hovers around 20 Degrees or below.

I am having the same issue on my 2018 JL. When I connect my iPhone charger to the media outlet and to my car it turns my radio off.

Weird issue but will see what the dealership say tomorrow

Just had the same thing happen. Was up in mountains, about 15 degrees. Used remote start like I had all week, and as soon as I started driving the radio, SAT, and Media all cut out every 10 seconds or so. Parked, let it sit about 30 mins, still did it. Tried the reset of uconnect, did nothing.
Next day, no remote start and it worked fine. Been working fine last two days now that I am back home.
Please keep us informed as to what the dealer says. I spend a bit of time in the cold, and the remote start is awesome. Not willing to forsake it but the radio cutting out is maddening. Thanks.

I don’t know if this has been mentioned, but when I open or close my sky one touch it will cut out. It’s like the in-rush takes away the power from the head unit. FWIW

Hi jasmel4449,

We're so sorry to hear this, and I can see that our twitter representative has responded to you from our @JeepCares Twitter handle. Please send us a PM here (or a DM on twitter) if you end up bringing your vehicle back into the dealer on a colder day when this issue is happening.

I am having the same issue on my JL and have had it in for service a few times. The diagnostics came back clear after the first service visit and the radio was recently replaced, but that has not fixed the issue. When It happened last week I noticed that when I shut the engine off the radio played normal and when I restarted the jeep the radio started to cut in and out again. I took a video so I can show the dealer the issue.

Just heard from the dealer the issue is now considered the "amplifier", the part is on national back order.

So, 2 months since I bought a $50,000 Rubicon JLU, and it’s atill broken!

WTF.... I made them load test the batteries, and the AUX batter was bad. They replaced.m, and said it was fixed again.

Yelp, it was not!!!! I’m filing for the NH Lemon Law tomorrow. Jeep Doesn’t Care!

I will thank you. It's been warmer here again so no issues.

@jstepy posted this on the other thread - https://www.jlwranglerforums.com/forum/threads/audio-cutting-in-and-out.16942/page-13

Well mines still not fixed Eugene and yes it’s quite ridiculous!
I had gone a good two to three weeks+ after pulling Fuse 97 and removing all paired iPhones without any issues...
I got adventurous today and decided it was time to pair my iPhone again... literally two car starts later the audio began to cut in and out again.
So stinking frustrating.
I removed my iPhone and pulled Fuse 97 again tonight hoping tomorrow everything will be working and continue to work.
I've done the same (albeit mine is a RAM, but I'm having the same identical issue as everyone here). I have unpaired all phones, disabled Device Mirroring (CarPlay / AndroidAuto), and disconnected the battery for 2 minutes (same as resetting a fuse). Let's see where this goes. I urge anyone else with this problem to try this solution so we can have a larger test group.

If you're tired of this BS, complaining on this forum (and apparently FCA) won't do anything. Try to troubleshoot and narrow down the cause of the issue, at least you have something to show your service centre to go on and investigate.

I had mine in today as it was acting up on my way home. The technician wondered about the amplifier as well. I will be bringing it back on Friday for the day for them to work on and gather all the details on the vehicle as well as hopefully some next steps. Did they share any other ideas with you?
