Same bolt pattern as JK for hitch receiver mounting?

When I get a JL, I'd like to just take my Mopar hitch hardware off the '08 and put it on the new one. Is that going to work?

No one knows for sure but probably not. Pretty much everything has changed.

If the JL designer was the right sort, then probably it will fit fine, but if the designer was some sort of "buckaroo" ...

Jeep wants to make money by selling you stuff. So if they were smart, they would have changed the mounting locations so they can sell you a tow package or mopar hitch to fit your JL.

And it may work for them. But I might make back some of my money when I sell my JK with the add-on Mopar hitch receiver and 4-pin harness already there.

I would definitely remove it if you plan to trade in your JK and sell it separately if it doesn't fit the JL.

You may want to keep an eye on sites like quadratec to see if they introduce new skus for the JL hitch or if they list the same JK items for the JL.
