I told my husband, no jewelry for Christmas. Told him I need/want rock rails. I kept on thinking ACE, but these look really nice. Any thoughts, has anyone got either?
People have the roam on 4 door, I think the 2 door version is not out til Feb. I am looking to avoid anything that attached to that big frame to body bolt like the ace, and the red threadlocker of doom.

I will probably wait for a while, the 2 door stuff will be rolling out from a number of brands. I am torn between simple and light vs big and acts both as a step and to keep mud/rocks off side. I dont need a step, but once in a bit kids getting into back seat could benefit.

Looking at crash tests on JL, a bit of steel bolted to frame is looking like a really good idea.. gulp.

Yeah... Roam looks really nice. You may be right about the ACE. I DO need a step, so I don’t have to “jump up”. Roam does not look too complicated to mount either, not all of us are master welders and such. Thanks for your thoughts, Gary!

I figured I wouldn't really need rock rails down here so I had the Mopar step bar put on. I like it because it helps keep the road rocks/pebbles off my door and gives Stormie a more "finished" look. Plus they help my mom get in when she wants a ride. :)

I have the ACE sliders, work good as a step and have held up great. Have really taken a beating on the trails here, both sides have slammed into rock multiple times. Other than scrapes on the under side there is no visible damage to them. I am sure I would have had some body damage without them.

I was a little worried about the install so i just had a local Jeep shop install them.

For any of you Florida Jeeple who like to photograph (and any of you non-Florida Jeeple who may be down here!),
if you'd like to experience wild Florida Scrub Jays in an amazing way let me know and I'll take you to a really cool area.
This is NOT a zoo or a park; this is an area I know in the Florida scrub and the birds are wild. They are protected so that's why they don't fear people.
The video is only 30 seconds or so.

Apreciate everyone’s input. Makes my job harder; or just close my eye s and pick one! Lol
Cristina, just to make your decision a bit harder, I would love to sell my ACE sliders. I'm thinking the Roams would be better for what I want. Let me know if you somehow become interested.
