Mine fits and functions as designed, but I can tell you from experience, it isn't always that way.

I owned 5 TJs with soft tops and they all fit and sounded differently. Two were fairly quiet, two were just OK, and one was so loud on the highway I swore I would never have another Jeep with a soft top.....I have a short memory I guess. Funny thing though, the top that fit the best and was the tightest, was the loud one.

This new one fits like a glove, does not leak in a car wash, and is very easy to operate. But it appears tha just like in the past, they are inconsistant from Jeep to Jeep.

Went through two dealerships today. All 4 doors that had soft tops had the droop/sag in the top. The windows weren't sagging like some of the pictures here. However the two doors did not have the sagginess in the top above the windows. Looks like that might be something the 4 doors has to have. Maybe @BestopTeam can chime in here and confirm what we're seeing.

You run yours through the car wash? I thought that wasn't recommended.

Doesn't matter. My back is bad so through the car wash it goes. I'm responsible enough for my actions that I realize I may have to replace the windows sooner than someone else.

I've ran my through the car sveral times this summer. Doesn't leak until I hit the big power dryers. It'll cause a few drops to leak through the driver door at the top and hit the door panel. Nothing major.

Does the saggyness actually create a problem? Or is it more of an issue because people don't like the way it looks?

Exactly! Mine is the tightest soft top I've ever owned.

However, my feeling is there is a lot of variation in these and some are not as good as others.

There maybe 2 issues, some people not pushing down, and there maybe an issue that some dont fully lock down. I am certainly being gentle on the top, will give it a good firm push past what I have been.

In any event good video, I think alot of people are likely skipping, it made no sense that they would let it bounce or require 2 sets of straps.
Same here—being gentle. Will a good push affect the rear window connections holder on the rear driver side? I didn’t push hard because I don’t want it to break. I also have a Tuffy deck in the back. Would that impede the locked down position?

Finally got the premium top I ordered from Quadtratec and installed on my 2 door Thursday. So far, I miss zippers but thats another discussion. My issue I didnt see listed. My top “pops” pretty violently at highway speeds. Like a bass drum hitting. Sounds like the back end is being pushed up and down. Rechecked everything and appears buttoned up. Anyone else with this issue?

I know it may sound strange but my 2018 JLU premium soft top is quieter than my 2017 JKU hard top

I have a 2 door with the factory installed Premium soft top and it does not do that.

Well finally had some nice weather to drop the top, 4 door Unlimted. No matter how hard I pushed on the corners, just like in the video, no clicking/locking.

Gotta go with a defect, because what I've been sold on Jeep.com does not look like that.....

Like you believe a picture on the Jeep.com? Too funny. My top has the same droop, but it doesn't bother me.
