i own a 2 door JL Sport with a Premium Soft top. When I picked up the Jeep from the dealer I noticed the rear drivers side pannel look a bit droopy, The plastic channel wasn’t aligned with the pin, thus it wasn’t connected. Easy fix was to pop off the side panel and slide the pin through the channnel, easy fix I thought.
Eventually got around to using the top in sunrider position and then noticed the same side drooping again, I have had the same issue every time. I finally compared the passenger side to the drivers and noticed the plastic channel was much wider on the drivers side.
Dealer is ordering an entire new drivers side panel as it’s clearly a defect. They are not sure when it will arrive but hopefullly soon as fall isn’t far off. I have some Velcro helping it stay in place now. This is my first Jeep and the top design doesn’t give me the feeling of a quality design but more or something that’s going to make just past the warranty expiration date.
Anyone had similar issues with their soft top?
