I agree with Kurtis that the 5% below is about as good as can be expected, especially in Florida. Are you going out of state to buy, or did you get that deal in Fla? If so, from where? Also, can you confirm that your Moab is a 2019? I want to be sure this is the case from a verified POC/buyer order.
My deal is from Koons in Virginia. No one is willing to play ball down in South Florida. Plus Im taking advantage that Ill be out in Virginia for work for a few months so it works out. And yes its a 2019 Moab.

Charlie right now there’s a thread on buying/ordering that’s a deal being hashed out through farrish dealership in fairfax Virginia to do a group buy @ 8.5% under invoice and reduced dealer fee. Maybe head over there and check it out. I’d paste a link to it but I don’t know how. Maybe someone else could help with that. I’m also in Florida and the best I could do is 5 under invoice and best dealer fee I could get was $599 at Daytona Jeep. If you’re willing to go out of state there’s definitely some savings there
Thanks Rich. That would be a killer deal. My deal is from Koons also out in Virginia. But 8.5 is better than 5 lol

5% under invoice is about as good as you're going to get. I got to a price that was around 10.5% off MSRP (around 5% off invoice), and I offered that price to 4 dealers around Columbus. 3 of them declined, and 1 of them agreed to sell it to me at that price. That's how I'm sure I got a good price. I think the dealer is making only a few hundred on the sale of the Jeep, plus any kickbacks they get for hitting their sales targets or from financing companies. The deal you're getting is about as good as can be expected, so well-done.

I'm the exact same way with regards to being new to Jeep - long-time listener, first-time caller. I am absolutely LOVING it. Here in Ohio, top-down driving is not a year-round activity like it is there in Florida. So I'm thrilled that it arrived in time for me to enjoy some 80-degree days before the weather starts to change in October. Honestly it feels like a luxury car inside, except for the fact that unlike most modern crossover SUVs (which are built on car platforms), Wranglers are built on truck platforms and therefore sit up higher. I had rented JK's, and the new JL's feel SO MUCH more solid than that generation. Like you, I wanted the ruggedness of the Rubicon but the comfort of the Sahara, so the Moab is perfect. Granted you lose a small amount of the Rubicon's abilities (heavy duty axle, etc) - but a tiny percentage of Jeep owners REALLY need that level of capability.

One thing to think about. The soft top is so much easier to put up and down than the hard top, even if you install a hoist in your garage (which I highly recommend). And considering Florida weather, you may not ever want to use the hard top (depending on how you plan to use it). If that's the case, order the dual top Moab, and you could sell a body-color hard top for $2k to offset the cost of the Jeep. There's a huge secondary market for Jeep parts, especially OEM.
Kurtis this is awesome brother. Thank you so much.

MOAB edition can now be ordered with Sky One-touch Power Top. Huge thanks to Travis @Travis@TriCityJeep for bothering to contact VOIM on this issue. My local dealers kept just telling me it wasn't available but weren't putting in any leg work to solve the problem. Now the debate over whether BSG 3.6 will be available on Moab or will they discontinue the SE when they use up the remaining 3.6s.

I haven’t been able to get more than 3% off invoice in New York, so 5% is great. Farrish in Virginia is offering 6.5% to mostly everyone!!!!

Farrish wants you to use their financing though. And probably high rates. My assumption at least. Im lucky Ill be in Virginia for work for the next 6 months so I am taking advantage. No one in South Florida will even entertain 1%

So is the consensus here that BSG is desirable? I assume that for all of those owners who are using TazerJL to turn off ESS, it’s a moot point because they wouldn’t be relying on it anyway right?

Or is the idea that somehow the ESS is more tolerable with BSG so it may encourage those who hate ESS to still use it?

That's the thought. I'm really torn honestly. I think on a lot of levels the simpler plain V6 is safer bet since there's less to go wrong, but the accelleration on the Penstar is pretty sluggish with the auto transmission. Not bad with a manual. Theoretically the BSG applies the initial torque electrically, so hopefully better take-off. Remains to be seen however until you can drive one, and by then they might have discontinued the Moab.

Choices choices choices. It’s funny, for a while I had a hard time picking an “engine” between the 6 and the 4. I waited all year for some professional review of the 2.0 by a leading content provider and it never came. Didn’t want to buy it without understanding it more through that sort of lens. Then the Moab was announced with limited choices and I was, no joke, thankful the decision had been made for me.

That is one azz-kickin' Sahara! Nice work!

I'm curious where you were when you took that photo. It looks familiar, but I can't place it.

Hello local Jeeper…

Thanks for the compliments...Still working on what winch to get, maybe seat covers that match the orange and black theme. No rush...

This pic is at the top of Mt. Princeton in Buena Vista. I have the coordinates for the trail if you need it. It takes you to 12,221 ft and ends where the pic was taken. From there, you can hike the remaining 2000ft or so to the summit.

Ah, yes, I have indeed been up there, but not with any of my Jeeps. I hiked to the summit of Mount Princeton many years ago, and passed by that spot where you took the pictures. I have however driven the Mount Antero trail, on the opposite side of Chaffee County Road 162, several times. One of the pictures in my TJ garage ("The Chameleon") is from one of those trips.

I ordered from Farrish. Did not have to use their financing. 6.5% below invoice.
