Vehicle(s)
Rubicon JLU. It's a Jeep.
My brand new Rubicon JLU (delivered August 6) had the Engine Check Light go on at 117 miles.
Drive it home and the light was off when I turned the Jeep on a few hours later.

At 290 miles it came on again.
Took it to the dealer but couldn't make a service appointment as I was having surgery the next day plus time to recover. Finally took it in Sept 11 and they "fixed" it (apparently a software issue).
Picked it up on the 12th and the light was on again. They reset the system and it seemed fine (off).

Wife is driving it today and the light came on again, AND the Stop/Start System Warning Light has come on. The wife also says it's nor accelerating as smoothly now an there's a slight "tremble" when the engine is running, not smooth like before.

Anybody have any experience with anything like this.Obviously I'm taking it in again, but this is a brand new Jeep and disappointed is an understatement,

I had a similar experience
throws CEL for Cam sensor.

Rough idle when hot ambient temp

Before the CEL the ESS / ESC / TSC light come on.
First time it threw a cel, i cleared it and it came back the next day after longer distance driving.

Forgot to add this is with 800 miles and the jeep was dropped off at dealership today

Were you able to read the code to see what error # you were getting?

I wasn't able to but the dealer service woman told me the original issue seemed to be a CO sensor error. They updated the software but obviously it's something other than that.Taking it in again today so we shall see.
Hopefully FCA is being notified of these things in case there's a pattern here.

What are you using to read the code?

Good luck with yours btw.

I am using an OBD2 Code reader, Innova 3100a. I've had this code reader for quite some time but it works great.

We shall see about mine, already 1 day in the dealer and they havent called me back yet. I am guessing more than likely they are going to try and "flash" the ecu and say it is good. Then i will probably have the engine light come back

I can very much relate.
So dealer called me back. They are replacing the Vacuum Pump. I have my doubts if this is what is causing the Cam sensor issue but we shall see. They said it was making a lot of noise but that might just be another piece that was broken.

Yea... my Rubicon has a slight "tremble" now plus milage is down to 10 mpg (!). It's at the dealer now.
I've opened a case via Jeep Wave Customer Care and I suggest you do the same. They'll be calling me with an update Monday and will also contact the dealer doing the work.

I talked with Jeep Cares and a field engineer was sent to check out my vehicle and s/he eventually made it to my dealer. the field engineer spotted a "tiny" (technical term) oil leak from a value that was dripping onto the 02 sensor causing that to give false readings which caused the onboard computer to give responses based on wrong information which would explain the kind of issues I was having.
Value and sensor have been replaced and I picked it up three days ago. Only driven about 17 miles so far after service but as of now there are no issues.

Total time my Jeep sat at the service center: 12 days.

I dropped off my JLU yesterday after the check engine light came on with 354 miles. They're going to change the oil control valve, but it'll take 3 to 5 days to get the part. I'm wondering if this is a root cause and there's a run on the oil control valve.

Mine came on for an oil temp sensor code. Dealer ordered the new sensor and supposed to call me when it's there. I have been watching the oil temp and it jumps around a little but the check engine light hasn't come back on and it's been about 400-500 miles since. I don't think I am going to let them replace the oil temp sensor unless that check engine light comes back on. I'm just freaked out a little by them taking it apart to get to it. Apparently it's quite a job
