WAMP WUMP..... Tried to remote start this morning and got the wonderful service start stop light AND a check engine light.

Last night I was driving home and at 70 the jeep seemed to loose power down to 65 or so when climbing hills and sometimes under acceleration. Pedal just didn't seem to give power then it would surge up to power and take off.

Had some Cam shaft position sensor and slow response A Bank 1 codes for the CEL. Guessing it could be the battery wonking it out maybe? I noticed that my battery always shows 14.7 volts and now it's been dropping to 14.4 then the service start stop light comes one. Could be in my head but the sluggishness seems to be when the voltage is lower.

But with 20k miles on the 2.0 and a 2024.... That's for the warranty to find out!

Charge batteries and load test them. Go from there.
Thank you.

I'm definitely thinking the aux battery must be toast with its intermittent low voltage and service lights. Once I ensure it's not something more serious I'll probably just eliminate it.

The voltage of a 100% charged 12 volt AGM automotive battery is in the 12.85 range. The voltage you are seeing on the dash with the Jeep running is the alternator output which will vary based on what is asked of it by accessories and the charging your battery or batteries.

Absolutely.

I just see it being a rock at 14.7 for the last 22k miles. Now it is constantly fluctuating all other the place then the service light trips when it drops below the 14.4 so definitely not a coincidence.

Yea, you’re wrong. It’s totally normal for voltage to drop into the mid to high 12’s.

There is a fundamental misunderstanding on this forum of the relationship between the start stop system warning light and every other warning.

The primary failure here is the check engine light. The ESS will be disabled due to the engine fault.

I had the same lights and intermittent rough running engine on 2019 3.6. Pulled P0306, cylinder 6 misfire code. Ended up being a blown head gasket. The cylinder was scored and I got a new engine under warranty.

Engine running right?
Get it to a dealer, batteries should be fine on a 24.

It goes Tuesday to the dealer. I will let them fiddle with it to figure out what's going on in a week for the prognosis.

Check your oil in the meantime. If it’s not new, get it changed.

And then you started having problems with a system that relies on engine oil pressure to function. Don’t bring your jeep to the shop with no oil in it.

Plenty of oil. Oil was the usual darkish for what is expect not being brand new but nothing seems gritty so hopefully no metal when they open it up.

looked and was about 1000 miles ago first week of February so a bit more than 200. Guess it's good I keep good logs. Guess I went further than I thought in the month.

I actually checked the oil first when I saw people had oil galley bolts back out to make sure it wasn't low
